সিনেমায় কোটা,

একটা করুণ বাস্তবতা হচ্ছে- আপনি ১০০ বছর আগের সাহিত্য পড়লে দেখবেন যে, উপন্যাস-গল্প-প্রবন্ধে বাঙালির যে চরিত্র দেখানো হয়েছে নাটকীয়ভাবে বাঙালির চরিত্র আজো ঠিক তাই। কোনো পরিবর্তন নাই। ঠিক একিভাবে এই নাটকীয় মিল পাওয়া যায় সিনেমায়। ৮০-৯০ দশকের সিনেমাগুলোতে পরবর্তী ২-৩ দশকের বাস্তবতাগুলোকে কী আশ্চর্যজনকভাবে যে ধারণ করা হয়েছে দেখলেই চমৎকৃত হই।
