BAIUST Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering successfully conducted the Final Year Capstone Design Project defense & pre-defense for the students of Batch 15 and 16 on 7 May 2026 at the Electrical and Electronic Simulation Laboratory.
The defense board was chaired by the Head of the EEE Department, Dr. Mohammad Shafiul Alam with internal members Md. Ashraful Islam, Md. Jahid Hasan, and Md. Nahidul Alam, while Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Professor and Head, Department of EEE, Northern University Bangladesh, joined as the External Expert Member.
Congratulations to all participating students and best wishes for their future endeavors.

Who could have thought that a BAIUST EEE alumni is working behind the scene for the prepaid electricity meters we are using in our households?
Let's meet Hasan Alam, a highly skilled and creative minded engineer. Hasan is from Batch-02, and he graduated from BAIUST EEE Department in 2019.
Hasan started his career as an Application Engineer in DigiSol Global Limited. After three years, Hasan joined Shenzhen Star Instrument Co. Ltd. in 2024, a globally renowned China-based company. Currently Hasan is working there as a Customization Engineer, posted in Dhaka.
On behalf of Shenzhen Star Instrument Co Ltd, our alumni Engineer Hasan was directly involved in the Prepaid Meter Project for Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC). At this moment, Hasan is affiliated with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), for the same Prepaid Meter Project.
Previously we had said that, BAIUST EEE-ians are everywhere. Today we say that, BAIUST EEE-ians will be everywhere. Best of luck, Hasan.

Today we are excited to feature Abdullah Al Mamun, from Batch-01, Department of EEE, BAIUST. Mamun is a dynamic engineer whose career journey showcases remarkable technical expertise.
In 2021, Mamun began his professional career as a Service Engineer at Vivo Bangladesh. His passion for problem-solving and engineering soon led him to take on greater responsibilities as an Assistant Engineer at LG Butterfly Group in 2022.
After a couple of years, in 2024, Mamun joined Fair Electronics. Currently he is working there as an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer.
We are proud of Abdullah Al Mamun making strides in the professional world and are excited to see the heights he will continue to reach in his future endeavors.

Well, today we will tell you the story about a BAIUST EEE graduate who has landed in United States of America (USA). Let's get introduced with Rafiul Haider, from Batch-10, who graduated from BAIUST EEE Department in 2024.
Currently, Rafiul is enrolled in Pace University, a renowned university located at New York state, in USA. Rafiul is pursuing his Master of Science degree in Data Science there, with a prestigious merit-based scholarship, under the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems.
During his time at BAIUST, Rafiul was an active member of BAIUST Global Affairs Council, and participated in many significant co-curricular activities.
We wish Rafiul Haider all the best for his endeavors and hope that he prestigiously keep representing Bangladesh to the international community, just like he did during his time in BAIUST.

Perhaps it's a record for BAIUST EEE Department. Today our story centers around an energetic young man, Muhib Ullah Sarker, from batch-11, who graduated from BAIUST EEE Department in June 2024.
After his graduation, within four months, Muhib joined Fariha Spinning Mills Limited as an Assistant Engineer in November 2024. He is working in the Generator section, currently posted in Narayanganj, at the factory plant of the company.
We hope and expect Mr. Muhib Ullah Sarker will continue to rise and shine, and continue to setting examples for his juniors in the BAIUST EEE Department, for his university, and for his nation.

Time to visit a power plant - the entity where the journey of electrical engineering started about 150 years ago. First, let's get introduced with Sunjidul Islam Lemon, a highly talented Engineer, who graduated from BAIUST EEE Department in 2023.
After his graduation, within ten months, Sunjidul joined Summit Bibiyana Power Company Limited as an Assistant Engineer in 2024. He is working in the same company, currently posted in Habiganj, at Summit Bibiyana 341 MW Combined Cycle Gas Power Plant.
We wish Sunjidul Islam Lemon an excellent growth in his career, and looking forward to watching him continue to play important roles for his motherland, Bangladesh.

Today we are here to meet one of the finest and outstanding engineers ever graduated from BAIUST EEE Department. Let's meet Rajib Humayun Munshi, from Batch-07, EEE, BAIUST, graduating year 2022.
Rajib joined ThiNK Limited as a Junior Design Engineer in 2023. Later he continued work there for one more year as a Embedded System Hardware Engineer.
Rajib is specially well known for his expertise in automation, IoT, PLC, PCB, sensors and maintenance.
Currently Rajib is preparing himself for higher studies.
We wish Mr. Rajib Munshi all the best for his endeavors and career.
