Example: Don’t cry over spilled milk; you can always try again. In my wedding I cried over spilled milk for my family member, especially my mother.

Meaning: Feeling deep sadness.
Example: My husband went abroad with a heavy heart, and I was down in the dumps and missed him.

Meaning: Reach the lowest or worst point emotionally.
Example: After losing his job, he felt like he hit rock bottom. I also noticed that he always seemed helpless at home.

Meaning: Pretend to be okay when you’re really not.
Example: Even though she was sad, she put on a brave face.
