We were truly hesitant to post this.
It brings us both pride and sadness to share that none other than our very own Adnan Arif Ayat has been ranked 2nd Best Speaker among all participants in the 2nd SSDC Renaissance 2025.
Though Ayat joined the SSDC community as a student of Chattogram Bandar College, his journey came to a close as a transfer student. And with that, this marks his final achievement as a member of CBCDS.
Ayat has been more than just a member, he’s one of our founding pillars. His journey in debating, and indeed that of CBCDS itself, began together. He served with dedication and passion as the Chief of Public Affairs in the Founding Executive Committee, and later as the President (Administration) of the First Executive Committee (from 9/12/2024 to 24/09/2025).
We are deeply saddened by his departure, but endlessly proud of the legacy he leaves behind. Ayat will forever remain a part of CBCDS and its history.
We wish him good health, success, and fulfillment in all that lies ahead. Thank you for your service.

Remembering Abrar Fahad
It’s hard to believe how much time has passed, yet the pain of that day still lingers in the hearts of so many. Abrar Fahad was more than just a student, he was a young man who dared to speak his mind, who believed in honesty, and who had the courage to stand by his principles even when it was dangerous to do so.
His life was taken far too soon, but his voice has not been silenced. His story reminds us of the cost of truth in a world where speaking up can still come with consequences. It reminds us that justice is not just a demand, it’s a responsibility we all share.
Today, we remember Abrar not only as a victim of brutality but as a symbol of conscience, integrity, and unyielding courage. May his sacrifice continue to inspire us to question, to stand firm, and to fight for what is right, no matter how difficult it may be.
You are gone, but not forgotten.

October 7th. A date the world remembers for its shock, but few remember for its cause.
It wasn’t the “beginning” of a war. The war had already been our whole life. It was the day decades of silence finally broke.
For 75 years, Palestinian people have lived displaced, occupied, blockaded, and forgotten. Gaza, a thin strip of land smaller than most cities, which has been called an “open-air prison.” Generations have grown up knowing nothing but drones in the sky, checkpoints, airstrikes, and walls that cage their dreams. They can’t leave, can’t return, can’t breathe freely.
When you cage people for so long, their silence eventually explodes. October 7 wasn’t born overnight. It was the echo of decades of land taken, lives lost, promises broken, and humanity denied. It was desperation screaming through the bars of the world’s longest occupation.
To the world, it was terror. To many Palestinians, it was a tragic cry for existence. No one with a heart celebrates the death of innocents, not in Israel, not in Gaza. But those who truly care about peace must ask why this keeps happening.
October 7 is a wound, but it is also a reminder. That freedom cannot be forever buried under rubble. That even the forgotten will find a voice. That justice delayed for generations will one day demand to be heard.

We from Chattogram Bandar College Debating Society - CBCDS have lost our words. We can't explain how sorrowful we feel to part ways with such a legend.

Team CBCDS Vindicators including Adnan Arif Ayat, Irfanul Hoque and Saad Bin Abdur Rahim successfully participated in the most competitive tournament in Chittagong - "3rd GMHSDS National Debate Festival 2025."
Usually you will find both school and college teams in a tournament but GMHSDS has brought the most powerful college teams under a roof and made them go head to head. Every debate was hard, every motion was strong, every opponent was crucial for our growth.
What an amazing event GMHSDS had organized. We learned a lot and we'll be back with more amazing runs.
