Alhamdulillah, The LCNC Lab team (M.S. Thesis Sessions 2023-24 & 2024-25, Organic Branch, Department of Chemistry, University of Chittagong) is on its way to attend the “International Conference on Emerging Frontiers in Advanced Sciences and Technologies” (EFAST-2026), organized by Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) on 27-28 June 2026.

We are honored to be attending the conference under the guidance of our respected Supervisor, Professor Dr. S. M. Abe Kawsar Sir, and we're also grateful to have our Co-supervisor, Mrs. Jannatul Ferdaus Mam, accompanying us on this journey.

We look forward to learning, sharing ideas, presenting our research, and connecting with researchers from diverse fields.

Today (26.04.26), the students of the M.S. Organic Chemistry Thesis Sessions 2023-24 and 2024-25 of the Lab of Carbohydrate and Nucleoside Chemistry (LCNC Lab) had the great pleasure of celebrating the 50th Birthday of our Honorable Thesis Supervisor, Professor Dr. S.M. Abe Kawsar Sir.

The celebration was marked with a cake-cutting ceremony filled with joy, gratitude, and warm wishes. We were also pleased to have one of our respected Co-Supervisor, Mrs. Nasrin Munia Ma’am, along with the thesis students of our lab.

It was a wonderful moment for all of us to express our respect and appreciation for Sir’s continuous guidance, inspiration, and support in both academic and research activities.

We sincerely wish Professor Dr. S.M. Abe Kawsar Sir good health, happiness, and many more successful years ahead.

-Today, the "Farewell and Reception Celebration Party" was held amidst the lush green campus of the University of Chittagong. The new students were welcomed with flower greetings, while the outgoing students received a memento in appreciation of their contributions. On this occasion, eminent scientist Prof. Dr. Shamim Akhter, former Chairman Prof. Dr. Debashis Palit, and other lab teachers were present. The ceremony was filled with joy, heartfelt speeches, and shared memories, reflecting the strong bonds within the lab community and inspiring both new and departing students to continue striving for excellence in research.

Finally, the event concluded with a delightful lunch enjoyed by all the LCNC researchers.😊

We’re pleased to share that the “Lab of Carbohydrate and Nucleoside Chemistry (LCNC)” is going to organize the “Farewell and Reception Party-2025” for our MS Thesis Researchers of the Organic Branch, Department of Chemistry, University of Chittagong.

This year marks 13 years of excellence, dedication, innovation and achievement for our LCNC Lab, And we’re happy to celebrate this milestone together.

We are so much proud to share that our honorable supervisor was an “Invited Speaker” at the 1st International Conference on Science & Humanities for Sustainable Development (ICSHSD-2025) held at DUET, Gazipur, where he delivered a wonderful & insightful talk on our lab’s research areas– Carbohydrate and Nucleoside Chemistry.

He also served as a “Session Chair” in the Oral Presentation segment of the conference, making the event even more remarkable for all of us!
