AI & ML Foundations Series:
The IEEE Computer Society IIUC Student Branch Chapter successfully conducted Module 2: Classification in Machine Learning โ Models and Evaluation of the AI & ML Foundations Series, in collaboration with Rashedul Arefin Ifty (MEXT Scholar & Graduate Researcher, Laboratory for System Dependability, University of Tsukuba, Japan).
The session brought together enthusiastic learners from universities across Bangladesh, providing an engaging learning environment where participants explored the fundamentals of classification in Machine Learning and gained practical insights into building and evaluating classification models.

๐น Model training, prediction, and performance evaluation
๐น Understanding Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score
Through hands-on implementation, participants learned how machine learning models can predict whether a customer is likely to stay or leave based on features such as age, salary, years at a company, and satisfaction score. They also explored key evaluation metrics to effectively assess and compare model performance.
