Today was such an inspiring day at Cantonment English School and College! We officially kicked off our two-day "Workshop on Quality Education," and the energy in the room was amazing. A group of our talented CESC teachers came together today, March 9, to dive into new ideas and ways to make our classrooms even better. A major highlight was a special session led by our Principal Sir, who shared some fantastic insights and motivated everyone to keep reaching for excellence. We are so proud of our teachers for always learning and growing to give our students the very best.

EDUCATION FOR LIFE!

On March 1, 2026, Cantonment English School & College (CESC) organized a dignified farewell program to honor the distinguished tenure of our outgoing Principal, Lt Col Romana Zaman, afwc, psc, Engrs. The ceremony commenced with a solemn recitation from the Holy Quran and a special Dua, invoking blessings for her future endeavors. The event was marked by deep appreciation for her visionary leadership, highlighted through a formal Letter of Honor read by a student representative and a tribute speech delivered on behalf of the faculty. The program featured evocative cultural performances, including both duet and group poetry recitations by the students, and a nostalgic slide presentation chronicling the milestones achieved under her guidance. Following an introductory address by the incoming Principal, Lt. Col. Fahim Adnan Siddiqui, psc, AC, the outgoing Principal, Lt Col Romana Zaman, shared a poignant farewell message with the CESC family. As a testament to her enduring legacy, she was presented with a commemorative Photo Album, a prestigious Crest, and a Painting by the incoming Principal, Vice Principals, and teacher representatives. The ceremony concluded with a formal photo session, capturing the spirit of transition and the collective gratitude of the institution.

গত ১লা মার্চ ২০২৬, ক্যান্টনমেন্ট ইংলিশ স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজে (CESC) আমাদের বিদায়ী অধ্যক্ষ লেফটেন্যান্ট কর্নেল রোমানা জামান, এএফডব্লিউসি, পিএসসি, ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স-এর বিদায় অনুষ্ঠান অত্যন্ত আনন্দঘন ও আবেগপূর্ণ পরিবেশে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। পবিত্র কুরআন তেলাওয়াত ও দোয়ার মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা হয়, যেখানে স্যারের ভবিষ্যৎ জীবনের সাফল্য কামনা করা হয়। শিক্ষার্থীদের পক্ষ থেকে মানপত্র পাঠ এবং শিক্ষকদের স্মৃতিচারণমূলক বক্তব্যে স্যারের অসাধারণ নেতৃত্বের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রাণবন্ত কবিতা আবৃত্তি (দ্বৈত ও দলীয়) এবং স্যারের কর্মজীবনের সুন্দর মুহূর্তগুলো নিয়ে একটি স্লাইড প্রেজেন্টেশন সবাইকে মুগ্ধ করে। এরপর আমাদের নতুন অধ্যক্ষ লেফটেন্যান্ট কর্নেল ফাহিম আদনান সিদ্দিকী, পিএসসি, এসি উপস্থিত সবার উদ্দেশ্যে শুভেচ্ছা বক্তব্য দেন এবং বিদায়ী অধ্যক্ষ মহোদয় তাঁর আবেগঘন বিদায়ী বার্তা শেয়ার করেন। স্যারের অসামান্য অবদানের স্বীকৃতি হিসেবে নতুন অধ্যক্ষ স্যার, উপাধ্যক্ষবৃন্দ এবং শিক্ষক প্রতিনিধিরা তাঁর হাতে ফটো অ্যালবাম, সম্মাননা ক্রেস্ট ও একটি পেইন্টিং তুলে দেন। সবশেষে একটি সুন্দর ফটো সেশনের মাধ্যমে এই স্মরণীয় দিনটির সমাপ্তি ঘটে।

২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি শহিদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে ক্যান্টনমেন্ট ইংলিশ স্কুল এন্ড কলেজের উদ্যোগে এক আলোচনা ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়।

দিবসটির সূচনা হয় প্রভাতফেরির মাধ্যমে। এরপর ভাষা শহিদদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করে শহিদ মিনারে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে পবিত্র কোরআন তিলাওয়াত, দোয়া ও মোনাজাত অনুষ্ঠিত হয়, যেখানে ভাষা আন্দোলনের শহিদদের আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করা হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানের আলোচনাপর্বে শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীরা একুশের ইতিহাস, ভাষা আন্দোলনের তাৎপর্য এবং মাতৃভাষা রক্ষার গুরুত্ব নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। পরে শিক্ষার্থীদের অংশগ্রহণে আবেগঘন বৃন্দ আবৃত্তি পরিবেশিত হয়, যা উপস্থিত সকলকে গভীরভাবে আন্দোলিত করে।

অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপনী বক্তব্যে অধ্যক্ষ মহোদয় ভাষা শহিদদের আত্মত্যাগ গভীর শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করেন এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের মাতৃভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষা ও চর্চায় আরও সচেতন হওয়ার আহ্বান জানান।
সমগ্র অনুষ্ঠানটি ছিল ভাবগম্ভীর, শিক্ষণীয় ও একুশের চেতনায় উদ্বুদ্ধ।

19th Annual Sports & Prize Giving Ceremony

Cantonment English School and College warmly concluded its 19th Annual Sports and Prize Giving Ceremony today in a pleasant and dignified atmosphere. The program opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran, creating a calm and inspiring beginning.

The ceremony was graciously inaugurated by our honorable Chief Guest, Col Mesbaul Islam Khan, afwc, psc, followed by a well-coordinated and disciplined March Past Parade. A beautiful cultural presentation depicting the six seasons of Bangladesh gently captivated the audience.

This was followed by a range of enjoyable sports events that reflected the enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship of our students. The program concluded with the Prize Giving Ceremony, where outstanding performers were honored by the honorable Chief Guest, Col Mesbaul Islam Khan, afwc, psc.
The entire event was held under the thoughtful supervision of our respected Principal, Lt Col Romana Zaman, afwc, psc, Engrs.

It was a truly memorable day, filled with joy, achievement, and pride for the entire CESC family.
