Boats Sail on the Rivers

Boats sail on the rivers,
And ships sail on the seas;
But clouds that sail across the sky
Are prettier far than these.
Explanation:In this stanza, the poet says that boats travel on rivers and ships sail on the seas. They are beautiful to look at. However, the clouds floating across the sky are much more beautiful than boats and ships. The poet shows her deep love and admiration for nature.
There are bridges on the rivers,
As pretty as you please;
But the bow that bridges heaven,
And overtops the trees,
And builds a road from earth to sky,
Is prettier far than these.
