1. You have too many distractions.
A recent survey by the research firm NFI Research found that 66 percent of senior executives and managers say e-mail is one of the biggest distractions in the workplace, followed by the crisis of the day and personal interruptions. According to the bosses surveyed, other workplace distractions include unexpected meetings, phone calls, Web surfing, socializing, instant messages and noise.

2. You don't have the resources you need.
A carpenter needs a hammer, an accountant needs an adding machine and most office workers need a computer. Nevertheless, new employees don't always have what they need to hit the ground running. (An employer once took a month to supply the software needed to do the job I was hired to do.) Note anything – verbal or visual – that indicates the proposed content and structure to help organise your notes later. Don’t try to write down everything – distil your notes to key words (sorted by importance and relevance to what may be examined), as well as including any reference sources. Use lists, abbreviations, underlining, and highlighting. Try ‘spidergrams’ to connect facts and ideas. Pay attention right to the end – you may miss crucial points if you’re busy packing your bag to rush off.

3 After
Don’t be afraid of asking the lecturer if you’re confused about anything – the chances are that other students will be too. খুঁজে পেতে দেখলাম, ফেসবুকে থাকা কয়েকশত বিখ্যাত সাংবাদিক, যাদেরকে আমরা এক নামে চিনি, তারা কেউ আর রুনি-সাগরের তদন্তের ব্যাপারে কোন আপডেট দিচ্ছেন না। আহা উহু করছেন, মেঘকে নিয়ে দুঃখ করছেন, কিন্তু তদন্ত যেন ভ্যানিশ হয়ে গিয়েছে।

কয়েকদিন ধরেই ব্লগে ফেসবুকে তুমুলভাবে ঝড় চলছে ভারতের জিনিস বর্জন নিয়ে। আমি নিজে অন্তত গর্ব করে বলতে পারব যে ভারতীয় সংস্কৃতি আমাকে গ্রাস করতে পারেনি। কিন্তু চারপাশের মানুষতো আর এর থেকে মুক্ত নয়। এদেরই একজন আমার এক ফ্রেন্ড, যে কিনা জি বাংলার 'কেয়া পাতার নৌকো' মেগা সিরিয়ালটার নিয়মিত দর্শক। ওর কাছ থেকেই শুনলাম যে এই নাটকে নাকি আমাদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধকে তারা বিকৃতভাবে উপস্থাপন করছে।…………. ওর কাছ থেকে একথা শুনে, নাটকটার বর্তমান ও আগের প্রক্ষাপট সম্পর্কে ধারণা নিয়ে গত তিনদিন যাবত নাটক টা দেখছি। আমার ঐ ফ্রেন্ড যে ভুল বলে নি তা এই তিনদিন দেখেই বেশ বুঝলাম।

নাটকের আসল অংশে আসি এবার,
নাটকে দেখানো হচ্ছে যে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের একদম শুরু থেকেই ভারত আমাদের সাহায্য করছে। তারাই সর্বেসর্বা, আসল যুদ্ধটা তারাই করেছে। আর আমাদের মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা কাছা মেরে নারিকেল গাছের মাথায় উঠে বসে থেকেছে এমন একটা অবস্থা।....

আরেকটা জিনিস দেখলাম, নাটকে মেয়েদেরকে ট্রেনিং দিয়ে সম্মুখযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করানো হয়েছে। এমনকি মেয়েদের আলাদা ক্যাম্পই করা হয়েছে।...যতটুকু বই পড়ে জেনেছি এবং বড়দের কাছ থেকে শুনেছি, ঐ সময়ে মেয়েরা নার্সিং এর কাজ করেছে কিন্তু সম্মুখযুদ্ধ নয় (ভুলও হয়ে থাকতে পারে)।....

নাটকের আরেকটা অংশে দেখানো হয়, নায়িকা সেধে গেছে মিলিটারি ক্যাম্পে, তাও আবার রান্না করতে...এটা কি করে সম্ভব???

এই নাটকের ব্যাপারে আরেকটু বলে রাখি, সম্প্রচারের প্রথমদিকে এই নাটকে লীলাবালি গানটি ব্যবহার করা হয়েছিল শাওনের পারমিশন ছাড়া। পরে উনি কেস করার পরে তারা ঐ অংশটা বাদ দেয়। কিন্তু এবার কি তারা আমাদের সবচেয়ে দুর্বল জায়গাটাতেই দাঁত বসাবে?

৭১ এ ভারত আমাদের সাহায্য করেছে, অস্বীকার করছি না, কিন্তু তারমানে কি এই যে তারাই পুরো যুদ্ধটা করে দিয়েছে? আর এভাবেই নাটকের মাধ্যমে তারা তুলে ধরবার মানেটা কোথায়?

৭১ এ সাহায্যের পর আজ ৪০ বছরে ইন্ডিয়াতো আমাদের সবদিক থেকে কম শোষণ করেনি। কিন্তু তাই বলে আমাদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধকে বিকৃত করে উপস্থাপন করার মানে টা কি? আমার জানামতে কোন দেশের ইতিহাস নিয়ে কোন ডকুমেন্টরি/মুভি/নাটক তৈরি করার আগে সে দেশের অনুমতি নেওয়া প্রয়োজন। সেটা তারা নিয়েছে বলেতো মনে হয় না! নাটকের প্লটের কি অভাব ছিল? আমাদের ৭১ নিয়ে কেন টান দিল, তাদের ৪৭ কি কম পড়ে গেছে নাটক বানানোর জন্যে?

যারা এই নাটক নিয়মিত দেখেন তাদের কথা জানি না, তবে যতটুকু দেখেছি তাতে আমার কাছে মনে হয়েছে এটা সম্পূর্ণ ইতিহাস বিকৃতি এবং এর প্রতিবাদ করাও প্রয়োজন যতশ্রীঘ্রি সম্ভব। যাতে করে এই নাটকের প্রচার টা বন্ধ হয়।

আমাদের মিডিয়া হয়ত কিছুই করবে না, কিন্তু আপনার একটা মেইল পারে জি বাংলার টিমের টনক নড়াতে যে আসলে তারা কি করছে!

শিশুর শরীরে কোরআনের আয়াত
রাশিয়ার মুসলিম অধ্যুষিত দাগেস্তান প্রদেশে এক বিস্ময়কর শিশুর সন্ধান পাওয়া গেছে। শিশুটির হাত ও পায়ের চামড়ায় কোরআনের আয়াত ভেসে ওঠে কিছুদিন পর আবার মিলিয়ে যায়। নয় মাসের এ শিশুটির নাম আলী ইয়াকুবভ।
ইয়াকুবভের ডান পায়ে সর্বশেষ যে আয়াতটি দেখা গেছে, তার বাংলা অনুবাদ। আল্লাহর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞ হও। আরবি ভাষায় উৎকলিত এ আয়াতটি সুস্পষ্টভাবে দেখা যায়। হাজার হাজার মানুষ বিস্ময়কর এ দৃশ্য দেখতে ইয়াকুবভের বাড়িতে ভিড় করছেন। দাগেস্তানের রাজধানী মাখাচকা থেকে ১০০ মাইল উত্তরে কিজলিয়ার অঞ্চলের এক নিভৃত গ্রামে শিশুটির বাড়ি। মিরাকল শিশুটির বাবা শামিল (২৭) একজন পুলিশ। শিশুটির মা মদিনা (২৬) জানান, জন্মের দুই সপ্তাহ পর থেকে ইয়াকুবভের শরীরে পবিত্র কোরআনের আয়াত ভেসে উঠতে শুরু করে.

এক ছেলেকে তার গার্লফ্রেন্ড সবসময় মেসেজ করে 'আই লাভ ইউ' বলতো।এই মেসেজ প্রতিদিন পেতে পেতে বিরক্ত হয়ে গেল।

একদিন রাতে সে তার গার্লফ্রেন্ডের মেসেজ পেয়ে তাই আর ওপেনও করলো না,
না পড়েই রাতে ঘুমিয়ে পড়লো।

পরদিন মেয়েটির মা ছেলেটিকে ফোন করে কান্নাজড়ানো গলায় বললো যে,

আপনি যখন এই নোটটি পড়ছেন আমি তখন হাসপাতালের বেডে শুয়ে শুয়ে যাপিত জীবন যাপন করছি। আপনার জীবনে কি কখনো এমন সময় এসেছে যে, আপনার পূর্ণাঙ্গ অবসরে আছেন বেশ কিছুদিন? যদি এসে থাকে তবে আপনি নিশ্চয়ই জানেন এমন একটা দিন শুরু করার যন্ত্রণা যেদিন সতিকার অর্থে আপনার কোন নির্দিষ্ট কাজ থাকেনা। এটা হয়তো সবচেয়ে ভালো বুঝতে পারবে একজন বেকার, একজন অবসরপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা কিংবা একজন কয়েদী। হ্যাঁ! ঠিক ধরেছেন। আরকজন সবচেয়ে ভালো বুঝতে পারবে। সেটা হলো একজন মৃত্যু নিশ্চিত জেনে যাওয়া রোগী, যার দিন কাটছে হাসপাতালে ডাক্তার বেধে দেয়া সময় ফুরিয়ে না যাবার তীব্র আকাঙ্ক্ষায়। আমি সেই শেষোক্ত ব্যক্তিদের একজন।

আমার বয়স ১৭ বছর। আপনার বয়সও হয়তো এর কাছাকাছি, কিংবা আপনার ছোট ভাই বা আপনার ভাগিনা বা আপনার পুত্র। আমার বন্ধুরা হয়তো এখন তারুণ্যে টগবগ করে ফুটছে। আর আমি এক তরুণ বৃদ্ধ। ব্যাপারটা যে কি দুঃসহ তা কয়েকদিন আগে আমিও বুঝতাম না। কয়দিন? এইতো সেদিনও আমি কলেজে ভর্তি হয়ে জীবনকে বেশ উপভোগ্য মনে করছিলাম। মৃত্যু নামে যে একটা জিনিস আছে সেটা ভাবনার দূর সীমানাতেও আসেনি কোনদিন। অথচ কি আশ্চর্য! মাত্র কয়েকটা দিনের ব্যবধানে, কয়েকটা মেডিক্যাল রিপোর্টের লেখনীতে এখন আমার আর আমার মা’র প্রতিটা দিন কাটছে জীবন-মৃত্যুর পুলসিরাতে। আমার বোন ক্যান্সার ধরা পড়ে যেদিন সেদিন বুঝেছি খেয়ে হোক না খেয়ে হোক, বেঁচে থাকার আকুলতা কি জিনিস। বিশ্বাস করুন আমার এখন ইচ্ছা করে আমার প্রতিটা অংগ-প্রতঙ্গের বিনিময়ে হলেও আর ক’টা দিন বেশী বেঁচে থাকি, নিজের জন্য না হোক আমার মায়ের জন্য অন্ততঃ। আপনারা হয়তো কিছুটা হলেও আঁচ করতে পারবেন যে কতটা বেদনাদায়ক নিজের জীবনের জন্য, চিকিৎসার জন্য অন্যের কাছে হাত পাতা। আমার মায়ের ইচ্ছায় আমি আজ লিখছি।

আমি আপনাদের কাছে সাহায্য চাইছি। আল্লাহ আপনাদের মংগল করুন।

আমার অপারেশানের জন্য প্রায় ৩০ লক্ষ টাকার প্রয়োজন, সেটাও আবার ২৮ দিনের মত। টাকা এবং সময়সীমা দু'টোর অঙ্কই আঁতকে উঠার মত। দিনে প্রায় ১ লক্ষ টাকার চাইতেও বেশী।

কিন্তু অনেকের প্রচেষ্টায় সেটা হয়তো সামন্যে পরিণত হবে।

আপনাদের সামান্য কিছু ত্যাগের সামষ্টিক ব্যাপ্তি হয়তো আমাকে এবং আমার পরিবারকে আবার স্বাভাবিক জীবনে ফিরে যেতে সাহায্য করতে পারে।
