★★Rules of Right Form of Verb / Sub. Verb Agreement★★
Rule-1: Subject যদি singular হয় তাহলে verb singular হবে এবং subject যদি plural হয় verb plural হবে।
Example : Expansion ----------- new original ideas but only application in other areas.

Rule - 2: দুই বা ততোধিক subject 'and' দ্বারা যুক্ত হলে verb plural হয়।
Example : " Fame as well as fortune were his goals" in life.

d. Fame and fortune were his goals

Rule - 3: সাধারণত সমজাতীয় একাধিক Noun 'and' দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়ে একই বস্তু বা ধারণা নির্দেশ করলে verb singular হয়।

Rule - 4: এক বা একাধিক singular subject এর পূর্বে each, every, either, neither থাকলে verb সাধারণত singular হয়।
Example : Every member of my family -------- here tonight.

★★ NOTE: Each যদি plural subject এর পর বসে তাহলে verb plural হয়।
যেমন: The pupils each " have" to take a test.

Rule - 5: যদি বিভিন্ন number অথবা person এর subject 'and' দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়, তাহলে verb টি plural হয়।
Example: (I) You, he and I " are" friends.
( ii) You and he " are" birds of the same feather.
(iii) You and I would "enjoy" watching the T.V.

Rule -6: দুটি singular noun যদি একটিমাত্র ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে বুঝায় অর্থাৎ and দ্বারা দুটি noun যুক্ত হয়ে প্রথম noun টির পূর্বে the থাকলে verb singular হবে।
[The + noun + and+ noun+ verb (singular) + ext. ]
Example : 'The' principal and secretary of the college "is" coming.

Rule -7: কিন্তু and দ্বারা দুটি noun যুক্ত হয়ে উভয় noun এর পূর্বে the থাকলে verb plural হবে।
[ The + noun+ and+ the+ noun+ verb ( plural) + ext.]
Example : 'The' principal and ' the secretary ' of the college "are" coming.

Rule -8: Collective noun যদি single unit (

এদের আগে in বসিয়ে করবে বেশ বেশ।

সপ্তাহ, মাস, বছর, ঋতু, দশক, যুগ, শতাব্দী,
এদের আগে in বসানো হয় আজ অবধি ।
-
প্রভাত, দুপুর, গোধূলি, রাত, এদের আগে
at বসিয়ে করবে বাজিমাত।
-
সময়ের আগে at বসে, দিনের আগে on,
দিনের অংশ ভাগে in না বসালে, মাথা করবে ভন ভন ।
-
Festival-এ at, নম্বরেও at, with হয় বস্তুতে,
এইভাবে preposition শিখবে আনন্দ আর ফুর্তিতে।

Person-এ by, পাশে বুঝাতেও by, যানবাহনেও তাই
Article দিলে (যানবাহনের আগে) on হয় কিন্তু in a car
দক্ষতায় অদক্ষতায় at না বসালে সব হবে ছারখার।

ছোট হলে at, বড় হলে in, কখন হয়?
এই পার্থক্য না বুঝলে মনে থাকবে ভয়।

বাহির থেকে ভিতরে into ব্যবহার করোরে,
ভিতর থেকে বাহিরে হয় out of,
Preposition না বুঝলে মুড থাকবে off।

লেগে (স্পর্শ করে) থাকলে on হয়, নইলে above
Since, for বুঝ না, কেন নাও ভাব?

শুরু থেকে বুঝাতে since হয়, নইলে হয় for
গতি বুঝাতে (উপর দিয়ে) over, নিচে হয় under
Preposition আসলেই খুব মজার।

মাত্রা (স্তর) বুঝাতে হয় below, Preposition
শিখতে পেরে, আমি আছি খুব ভালো।

On- এ গিয়ে গতি হলে শেষ, হয় onto,
সাথে বুঝাতে with হয়,দিক বুঝাতে to.
কোনো কিছুর ভিতর দিয়ে যেতে হয় through (বাধা থাকলে)।

এ পাশ থেকে ওপাশে যেতে হয় across,
(বাধা না থাকলে)।
-
Preposition শিখলে নেই কোনো Loss।
এর বুঝাতে of হয় Boss.
