Today marks International Mother Language Day.
21st February is a historic and unforgettable day for Bangladesh.
On this day in 1952, our brave martyrs sacrificed their lives to protect the Bangla language.
We respectfully remember the martyrs of 21st February 1952 — Rafiq, Jabbar, Barkat, Salam and many others.
Their sacrifice was not only for a language, but for our identity, dignity, and cultural heritage.
They stood fearlessly against injustice and oppression.
Because of their courage, Bangla was recognized as a state language.
Their blood laid the foundation for our independence and national pride.
Today, we honor their memories with deep respect and gratitude.
Let us always value our mother tongue and preserve its richness for future generations.
