প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় এ বছরও এসএসসি পরীক্ষার ফলাফল ২০২৫ এ বরিশাল শিক্ষা বোর্ডে শীর্ষস্থান অধিকার করেছে বরিশাল ক্যাডেট কলেজ। এবছর ৪৪তম ব্যাচের ৪৯ জন ক্যাডেট পরীক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণ করে ৪৯ জন ক্যাডেটই শতভাগ জিপিএ ৫.০০ অর্জন করেছে।
এ অসাধারণ ফলাফল অর্জনের জন্য কলেজ অধ্যক্ষ লেঃ কর্ণেল তাহসিন সালেহীন, পিএসসি, শিক্ষকমণ্ডলী, ক্যাডেট ও অভিভাবক ও অন্যান্য সকলকে অভিনন্দন জানিয়ে ভালো ফলাফলের এধারা অব্যাহত রাখার জন্য সবাইকে আরও যত্নবান হবার আহ্বান জানান। নিয়মিত পড়াশোনার পাশাপাশি কঠোর পরিশ্রম ও অধ্যবসায়ের মাধ্যমে অত্র কলেজের ক্যাডেটগণ শিক্ষা কার্যক্রমে নিবিড়ভাবে সম্পৃক্ত থাকায় এই গৌরবোজ্জ্বল ফলাফল অর্জন সম্ভব হয়েছে।

গর্ব আর আবেগঘন পরিবেশে বরিশাল ক্যাডেট কলেজে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো ৪৮তম ব্যাচের নবাগত ক্যাডেটদের নবীন বরণ অনুষ্ঠান। এদিন কলেজ চত্বরে এক হৃদয়ছোঁয়া বর্ণাঢ্য অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে নবাগত ক্যাডেটদের স্বাগত জানানো হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কলেজের মাননীয় অধ্যক্ষ লে. কর্ণেল তাহসিন সালেহীন, পিএসসি, ভাইস প্রিন্সিপাল, কলেজ এ্যাডজুটেন্ট, মেডিকেল অফিসার, শিক্ষকমণ্ডলী, অভিভাবকবৃন্দ, অন্যান্য অতিথিবৃন্দ ও সিনিয়র ক্যাডেটরা। নবীনদের প্রতি শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়ে অধ্যক্ষ মহোদয় বলেন, “এই প্রতিষ্ঠানের আদর্শ, শৃঙ্খলা ও নেতৃত্বের গুণাবলি আয়ত্ত করে তোমরা একদিন দেশ ও জাতির গর্ব হবে।”

নবীন ক্যাডেটদের অভিনন্দন জানিয়ে সিনিয়র ক্যাডেটরাও তাঁদের অভিজ্ঞতা ও দিকনির্দেশনা শেয়ার করেন। সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশনা, দলগত অভিবাদন এবং কলেজের ইতিহাস তুলে ধরা হয় অনুষ্ঠানে।

এই নবীন বরণ শুধু একটি আনুষ্ঠানিকতা নয় – এটি বরিশাল ক্যাডেট কলেজের ঐতিহ্য ও উত্তরাধিকারকে নতুন প্রজন্মের হাতে তুলে দেওয়ার এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অধ্যায়।

দীর্ঘ দুই যুগ পর বরিশাল ক্যাডেট কলেজের বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ মোস্তফা মিলনায়তনে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো আন্তঃ হাউস বাংলা মঞ্চ নাটক প্রতিযোগিতা ২০২৫ ।

তিন দিনব্যাপী উক্ত মঞ্চনাটক প্রতিযোগিতায় শরিয়তউল্লাহ হাউসের ক্যাডেটবৃন্দ মঞ্চস্থ করে নাট্যকার শওকত ওসমান রচিত 'ক্রীতদাসের হাসি'। নাটকটি রচিত হয়েছে শওকত ওসমানের কালজয়ী উপন্যাস ‘ক্রীতদাসের হাসি’ অবলম্বনে।ক্রীতদাসের হাসির প্রেক্ষাপট জেনারেল আইয়ুব খানের সামরিক শাসন ও বর্বর স্বৈরশাসন। আইয়ুব খানের অপশাসনের যে গল্পটি খলিফা হারুন অর রশিদের চরিত্রের মাধ্যমে চিত্রায়ণ করা হয়েছে, তা যেন আজও ভাস্বর।আইয়ুবি অপশাসনের ইতিহাস উঠে এসেছে নাটকে। নাটকটি অত্যন্ত দক্ষতার সাথে শরিয়তউল্লাহ হাউসের ক্যাডেটবৃন্দ মঞ্চায়ন করেছে। নাটকের পোশাক, মঞ্চ পরিকল্পনা, সপ্রতিভ অভিনয় দর্শকেরা উপভোগ করে। যার ফলে নাটকটির প্রযোজনা হয়ে উঠেছে গুণগতভাবে মানসম্পন্ন।

শের-ই-বাংলা হাউসের ক্যাডেটবৃন্দ পরিবেশন করে কবিগুরু রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের কালজয়ী 'বিসর্জন' নাটক । নাটকটি অত্যন্ত আন্তরিকতা ও একাগ্রতার সাথে ক্যাডেটবৃন্দ উপস্থাপন করেছে। 'বিসর্জন’ নাটকটি জীবপ্রেম ও মানবপ্রেমের শ্রেষ্ঠ নিদর্শন। ধর্মীয় কুসংস্কার ও গোঁড়ামির বিপরীতে মানবপ্রেম‌ই সংকট থেকে উত্তরণের উপায়, শান্তির নিয়ামক – এই ভাবনা রবীন্দ্রসাহিত‍্যের নানাক্ষেত্রে প্রকাশ পেয়েছে। 'বিসর্জন’ নাটকে রবীন্দ্রনাথ মূলত মনুষ‍্যত্ব ও পশুত্বের দ্বন্দ্বের মধ‍্য দিয়ে মানবপ্রেমের বাহক মনুষ‍্যত্বের জয়গান গেয়েছেন। রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের ধর্মাদর্শের মূল মানবপ্রেম। রবীন্দ্রভাবনার প্রতিনিধি গোবিন্দমাণিক‍্য ‘বিসর্জন’ নাটকে তার কথাই আগাগোড়া বলে গেছে।
নাটকটিতে ক্যাডেটদের চৌকস ও হৃদয়গ্রাহী উপস্থাপনা দর্শকদের মুগ্ধ করে। কাহিনীর গভীরতা, সংলাপের যথার্থতা এবং চরিত্রের জীবন্ত অভিনয় মিলনায়তন জুড়ে এক আবেগঘন পরিবেশ সৃষ্টি করে। নাটকের প্রতিটি দৃশ্যে ক্যাডেটদের সৃজনশীলতা এবং দক্ষতা প্রশংসার দাবিদার।

সোহরাওয়ার্দী হাউসের ক্যাডটরা পরিবেশনা করে মুনীর চৌধুরী রচিত 'কবর' নাটকটি। মুনীর চৌধুরীর ‘কবর’: ভাষা আন্দোলনের প্রেক্ষাপটে প্রথম প্রতিবাদী নাটক। ভাষা আন্দোলনে জড়িত থাকায় ১৯৫২ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে তাকে বন্দি করে কারাগারে রাখা হয়। ১৯৫৩ খ্রিষ্টাব্দের ১৭ জানুয়ারি নাটক লেখা শেষ করেন। ওই বছরেরই ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি, রাত ১০টায় জেলকক্ষগুলোর বাতি নিভিয়ে দেওয়ার পর হ্যারিকেনের আলো- আঁধারিতে কবর নাটকটি প্রথম মঞ্চস্থ হয়। একটি নাটক সার্থক করার পেছনে সবচেয়ে বড় অবদান থাকে নাটকের বিভিন্ন চরিত্রের। চরিত্রগুলো যত শক্তিশালী হবে, নাটকের বুনিয়াদ তত মজবুত হবে। ‘কবর’ নাটকটিও তার ব্যতিক্রম ছিল না, তিনটি কেন্দ্রীয় চরিত্র নেতা, হাফিজ, মুর্দা ফকির পুরোটা সময় দারুণভাবে নাটকটির গল্প টেনে নিয়ে গেছে। এই চরিত্রগুলোর মাধ্যমে তিনি তুলে ধরেছেন ভাষা আন্দোলনের সারসত্য। নেতা ও হাফিজ চরিত্রের মধ্য দিয়ে তৎকালীন রাজনীতিবিদ ও ব্যক্তি স্বার্থান্বেষী মানুষের রূপ উন্মোচন করেছেন। অন্যদিকে মুর্দা ফকির যেন বাঙালি জাতির প্রতিনিধিত্বকারী।

বরিশাল ক্যাডেট কলেজের আন্তঃ হাউস বাংলা মঞ্চ নাটক প্রতিযোগিতা দর্শক হৃদয়ে একটি ভালো লাগার জায়গা দখল করে থাকবে।

হাউস ভিত্তিক ক্যাডেটদের অংশগ্রহনে বিষয় ভিত্তিক পৃথক দুটি দলে পক্ষ ও বিপক্ষ উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে তাদের যুক্তি বিতর্কের লড়াই নিয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো- বরিশাল ক্যাডেট কলেজ কর্তৃক আয়োজিত ’আন্ত:হাউস বাংলা বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা-২০২৫।

বিতর্কের বিষয়:
ছোট দল: বিজ্ঞানের অগ্রগতি মানুষের বাহ্যিক উন্নতি ঘটালেও আত্মিক ও চিন্তার বিকাশকে বাধাগ্রস্থ করেছে।

বড় দল: গণতন্ত্রের প্রধান দুর্বলতা হল জনতুষ্টিবাদ, যা ফ্যাসিবাদের জন্ম দেয়।

বিজ্ঞ বিচারকদের রায়ে এই প্রতিযোগিতায় চ্যাম্পিয়ন ট্রফি অর্জন করে শরিয়তউল্লাহ হাউসের ক্যাডেটবৃন্দ।

যথাযথ মর্যাদা ও উৎসাহ উদ্দীপনার মধ্য দিয়ে বরিশাল ক্যাডেট কলেজে উদযাপিত হলো সশস্ত্র বাহিনী দিবস-২০২৪ ।
পতাকা উত্তোলন, বাণী পাঠ, আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠান, ক্যাডেটদের অংশগ্রহণে রচনা ও চিত্রাঙ্কন প্রতিযোগিতা শেষে মধ্যাহ্ন প্রীতিভোজ এবং কলেজ মসজিদে বাদ মাগরিব বিশেষ মোনাজাতের মধ্য দিয়ে দিবসটির কার্যক্রম সম্পন্ন হয়।

Autumnal Awakening—the Term-End Cultural Presentation by Shariatullah House took place at 1930 hrs in the Birshreshtha Mostofa Auditorium on 3 October, 2024.

As the dried leaves start falling in the autumn, the ever-vibrant nature gets an awakening call to rejuvenate itself. So do the cadets of Shariatullah House offer a refreshing cultural soiree for all the cadets of Barishal Cadet College. The cultural presentation took off the stage with the dramatic dual anchoring by Cadet Shahrin (XII) and Cadet Ibtisam (XI).

As soon as the curtains on the stage were pulled a side, the spectacular backstage decorations stunned the audience.The first item to engage them was Tashrif Khan's song, "Rajar rajye sobai golam, korte hobe rajar sunam," covered as a duet by Cadet Anik (XII) and Cadet Kahar. It was followed by the ever-inspiring Nazrul Song by Cadet Tirtho (IX), "Karar oi louho kopat, venge fel kor re lopat." that got a special hype during the anti-discrimination movement led by the students in July 2024. The next item was a dual recitation from the part of a Bangla epic, 'Bibhishoner proti Meghnad'. Next-up, Cadet Shahrin rocked the stage with his song, "Save your tears," by the Weekend. It is noteworthy that Cadet Shahrin not only caught up with the singing style of the singer but also his dress up. Afterwards, it was a saga on the glory of Shariatullah House presented in the mode of 'Puthi' by a choir led by Cadet Sreebas (X). It put the stage on the archaic base with the dim light of the hurricanes. Then, to set the audience back to the modern arena, a group dance was presented as a dance battle by Cadet Sharin (XII) Cadet Ibtisam (XI), and their teams. The next item was a hilarious playlet, 'Rajar Darber,' performed by Cadet Fuad and his team to shift the ambience of the audience from rock to fun. This dramatic presentation led to the folk mash-up by Cadet Nahian (IX), Cadet Tirtho (IIX), and Cadet Shuvrojit (IX). After this captivating performance, there came the much-talked-about song, "Ei nil monihar," covered by the bold singer Cadet Arefin (XII). Finally, the House Cultural Presentation of Shariatullah House ended with the ever-tragic song "Nikosh Kalo Ei Andhare," presented by all the performers on the stage with the candle light as a glowing tribute to all the sacrifices of the young generation for the progress of our homeland.

After the part of the House Cultural Show, the anchors chanted their gratitude towards the Chief Patron, Lt. Col. Raihan Ahmed, psc, the Principal, BCC, and the patron, Muhammad Abdul Kabir, Vice Principal. They conveyed their special thanks to Adjutant Major Mohammad Asif, psc, and to the Chief Coordinator, Md. Saiful Islam, House Master. They also recognised the efforts of all House Tutors with due homage. At this point, the stage was handed over to a special presentation in honour of the House Master Sher-e-Bangla, Mr. Dinesh Chandra Saha, Associate Professor of Bangla, outgoing on PRL. At this segment, there was a band song 'Baba Kotodin Dekhini Tomai' covered by Cadet Abhijit (XII) and a poem recitation, "Kaler jatrar dhoni shunite ki pao?" by Cadet Iresh (XII).

After this farewell tribute part, there was a photo shoot with Principal Lt. Col. Raihan Ahmed, psc, AAG, Cadet Colleges Lt. Col. Md. Khelekuzzaman, psc, Vice Principal, Adjutant, Medical Officer, and 3 x House Masters with their spouses amid all the performers cadets on the stage.

Thereafter, a crest handover session was arranged in honour of the AAG Lt. Col. Md. Khalekuzzaman, psc. Then the spotlight fell upon the Principal as he kindly delivered his speech, summing up the total cultural show and inspiring the cadets for their future cultural excellence.

That's the moment Autumnal Awakening started rolling onto the memory lane, slipping off the eyesight of the beholders. But it will remain rolling in reminiscence long, long afterwards.

On 31 August 2024, Inter House Novices' Drill Competition of the 47th batch of Barishal Cadet College was held on the parade ground (basketball courts) in the presence of all officials, faculty members, staff, cadets, and the invited parents and guardians of the participant cadets.

This Novices' drill had been the most anticipated event of the 47th batch since their induction on 3 May, 2024.

Like all the other previous batches of BCC, or so to speak, all other Cadet Colleges, they also underwent a rigorous practice for hours every day in two shifts, like morning and afternoon, over a period of approximately 6 months. Such tough training made them tough, physically good-shaped, and learn how to drill with the synchronised swing of hands and stepping, maintaining the line alignments in group. It developed their sense of command, camaraderie, and comradeship.

Inter House Novices' Drill Competition, not just a competition, may be termed a dream event for any Novice Batch of Class VII, held once in a cadet life but earns the memories of a lifetime. Among all the Cadet College Competitions, it is exceptionally held as an Intra Batch Competition in Class VII only in the presence of the participants' parents and guardians. To any novice cadet, it stands more than a competition, as it is the gateway to being a full-fledged cadet, having the opportunity to play all the games available in the college and put on the Khaki as a regular uniform.

On 31 August 2024, such a dream came true to the 47th batch of BCC to stand before their parents and guardians as full-fledged cadets in the Khaki, compete in a competition with confidence, and celebrate their success with companionship. On the occasion of the Inter House Novices' Drill Competition, College Basketball Ground turned into the parade ground wearing a festive look with a colourful flag, festoon, banner, and hoarding. Pandals were set up alongside the road facing the north for all the spectators separately to accommodate the college staff, parents and guardians, and cadets. That day, the sky overcast with clouds favoured the Novice Cadets of the 47th batch with no interrupting rain.

The said competition started with all the novice cadets present as House-wise contingents on the ground for dress inspection. After the dress inspection, all the novices fell back. Then the Principal, Lt. Col. Raihan Ahmed, psc, arrived at the venue as the chief guest, and the final part of the competition started. The first turn went to the novice Shariatians, the next turn went to the novice Sherians, and the last turn went to the novice Wardians. They all showcased their best possible drill with no noticeable flaws, which earned them rounds of applause and made them immensely proud.
As there will always be different positions in the judgement, the result of the Novices' Drill came out as such from the Panel of Judges comprising Major Mohiuddin Mohammad Asif, psc, adjutant, Captain Ashiqur Rahman Miah, medical officer, and Sgt. Jamal, CSM.

Lt. Col. Raihan Ahmed, psc, gave away crests and trophies to all the winning Cadets and Houses on the prize-giving ceremony followed by the photoshoot. Thereafter, he made his speech, welcoming all the parents and guardians, recognising the efforts of the participant cadets, and thanking all concerned for organising the event successfully.

The competition ended with the sweet reunion of the novice cadets with their loving parents and guardians, which was followed by the refreshment arranged in the dining hall in honour of all the invited guests.

Thenceforth till 1400hrs that Saturday had been observed as the Parents' Time for the Novices, which they spent through merriment and memory sharing. Thus, they were found making a stroll around the ground and clicking photos of their beautiful moments in the detailed area of the campus.

That's how Inter House Novices' Drill, 2024, became a part of the college history of successful events, leaving a lot of memories for us to cherish in the future.

The investiture ceremony of the 42nd batch of Barishal Cadet College is indeed a momentous occasion. It signifies not only the formal induction of new prefect cadets but also their commitment to leadership and service within the college community. During the ceremony, cadets are presented with their ranks and badges, which symbolize their responsibilities and the values of discipline, integrity, and teamwork that the college instills. This event also fosters a sense of pride and camaraderie among the cadets as they embark on their journey to uphold the traditions and values of Barishal Cadet College.
