Hi everyone. Sharing some information to keep us on the same page. Any extra updates will be shared at the start of next week.

New First Year parents, please note that tomorrow's exercise will conclude by 11:15 am. Our apologies for the late notice. Please note mask wearing and temperature checks will be in effect. 6 feet distancing with masks off (optional) will obtain in the classroom.

Important Update from The Principal:

Dear parent,

It is with much more than a twinge of sadness that I announce my reassignment to another institution. Unless circumstances change, this officially takes effect September 21, 2020. As such I must now start the process of transitioning to ensure that things go smoothly.

I know that you know this is not my desire at this particular moment, but, decisions have been made and duty calls elsewhere.

This has been a very difficult time for all of us, but for me, the joys of sharing with you, learning from you and serving you these past few years have been immeasurable. I will forever treasure the role which the school and you the parents played in my personal and professional growth. I will also continue to let the time I spend where ever I go be remembered as excellence.

Continue supporting and being involved with the school and always remember our mantra.... WE ARE The Deighton Griffith School.

God bless you and your families, and we shall rejoice when our paths cross again.

We will share some of what we can and answer some of the questions that reached us over the past few days including

2. Textbooks and options
3. Any other matters

UPDATES:

Parent please check your emails for school specific information.

3rd year options are still being finalised. 4th Year options will be posted online and can be found at the school.

All books must be returned if you have not done so yet.

Kudos to those 5th year parents who spent their time and money to give some of their children the send off that we couldn't.

On Wednesday September 2, 2020 (5:30 pm) there will be a Facebook Live update for all parents. First Year Parents will have a special session for them on September 9, 2020 (5:30 pm)

Let's keep communicating and sharing so we can do what's best for our young ones. It will be a challenging time but we will get through it.

We have postponed any planned virtual sessions until we have met fully with our staff given recent updates. A new date for a session with parents will be announced soon and a link emailed then.

Correspondence has been mailed to all new parents at the address on file. If you do not receive any by Friday August 28 you can email or message us.
