Contracts Manager (FIDIC)

General Responsibilities
AS Inshaat-N LLC is currently seeking a Contracts Manager who must have knowledge on FIDIC and experience in construction industry. As a Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will be leading all activities related to contractual, legal, commercial and insurance issues related to contracts with clients including the drafting of contracts and generation of variation orders to maximise profits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage the contracts made with customers, vendors, partners
• Review the tender terms and conditions, to identify and mitigate commercial risk of the contract
• Oversee others and prepare and negotiate contract terms and conditions and special conditions flowed down to contracts and subcontracts
• Assess company's obligations and liabilities, including insurance requirements, bank guarantee wordings, payments terms, etc...
• Handle contractual, legal, commercial and insurance issues related to main contracts and purchase orders with suppliers/vendors
• Provide recommendations and negotiate directly with customer attorneys or purchasing staff to craft a final document that is satisfactory to all parties
• Support Projects group in the ex*****on of projects, including preparing variation orders, subcontracts or purchase orders
• Key point of contact between a business and third parties to ensure timely review and approval of any variations

Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering

Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in general contracting, civil infrastructure engineering, contracts management and contract commercial close out, renewals and extensions and release of insurances and bonds
• Excellent working knowledge of FIDIC contract standards

As a Planning Engineer you will:
• Plan, structure and lead the planning of the project programme of works.
• Manage the interface between the programme and the operational staff through structured meetings, programme and progress reporting.
• Identify programme risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Job Requirements
• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Required skills: Primavera 6, MS Project, Auto Cad.
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in the related field is required.
Main Duties
• Review and understand all relevant documents and conditions pertaining to the project.
• Establish and define any job oriented project control procedures and identify the level of resources required to operate them.
• Establish and agree the level and frequency of reporting required by the project.
• Establish and communicate cost and schedule baselines and ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.
• Review overall project status with the Project Control team and Project Management and recommend corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure that all cost, planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in accordance with the Project Coordination Procedure.
• Provide advice and assistance on planning, programming, methods of construction and solutions to engineering problems.
• Ensure that any programmes and supporting documents produced, comply with all scheme specific constraints.
• Ensure that while planning each tender, all possible alternative methods and strategies have been considered and discussed with the tender team.
• Provide supporting documents for each tender submission as required.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, innovations and legislation.

Senior Engineer

General Responsibilities
The Senior Engineer works with other managerial staff to ensure project completion in an efficient manner. The Senior Engineer must show evidence of excellent strong management/leadership skills, problem solver with the ability to motivate others.
Specific duties may vary widely, according to the type of job and the field of engineering. Most assignments, however, would require that a Senior Engineer:
• determines the goals of Engineering Department
• plans, manages and co-ordinates the work of Engineering Department
• leading technical and engineering staff, controlling the result of their work, compliance of labour and industrial disciplines;
• devises plans for each phase of the project
• identifies and procures the resources needed
• general quality control of work in all construction facilities of the company
• evaluates the costs within a specific time frame
• delegates tasks as necessary to engineering team
• resolves disputes between team members
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Master's in Engineering.

Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience.

Construction Cost Estimator

General Responsibilities

AS Inshaat-N LLC is currently seeking a Cost Estimator for the construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis and forecasting of project cost and progress data. Prepares cost estimates and price quotations on new work and coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations. Estimates the cost of both labor and materials from blueprints and specifications.
• Estimating: Develop cost estimates from high-level rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) to definitive, bottoms-up estimates. Conduct estimate meetings and work closely with key stakeholders including engineering, procurement, scheduling, and construction management to align the estimate with the ex*****on plan and enhance the overall accuracy of the estimate. Ensure complete scope coverage of the estimate, identify the potential for design growth, and ensure allowances are appropriately used. Convert estimates into key unit rates and validate with industry benchmarks and internal historical rates.
• Risk Assessment: Work with key stakeholders to identify risk, and lead the contingency development process
• Quality Reviews: Perform quality reviews over work prepared and submitted by others to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Process Development: Support the continued development of estimating systems, processes, and templates. Develop estimating systems, metrics, and benchmarks that allow for the standardization of costs used by various stakeholders for planning and budgetary purposes in early design stages.
• Performance Tracking: Track and summarize estimate performance with other project controls functions and the finance teams.
• Studies: Lead ad-hoc cost studies that enable rapid decision-making based on payback, rate of return, etc.
• Other work as needed in support of successful project delivery

Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in construction management, building science or engineering with a strong background in mathematics

Experience
• 7 or more years of related experience in managing large value contracts
