On May 14th, CCAAIBWS hosted an online Round Table, bringing together educators to exchange ideas and insights.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Kay Didimalang (The English School of Uzbekistan) and Ms. Oxana Akimova (European School Tbilisi), and centered on the topic “Celebrating Leadership Success.”

This engaging discussion created space to acknowledge achievements, share impactful leadership strategies, and foster stronger connections within the IB community.

At the 5th Experiential Learning Conference , Ani Bezhuashvili from European School delivered an insightful session titled “Navigating the Digital World: Empowering Safe and Smart Students, Responsible AI: Teaching Ethics in the Age of Smart Machines.”
Her presentation underscored the central role of digital literacy and ethical awareness in shaping meaningful and impactful learning experiences in the modern age. She highlighted how understanding the ethics of smart machines empowers learners to take ownership of their digital footprint and actively engage with technology safely. She showed how teaching responsible AI use helps students initiate purposeful action and fosters a strong sense of responsibility in an increasingly automated world.

As part of the IV IB Educator Development Programme, Shabnam Aliyeva conducted an engaging and insightful training session titled “Creative Strategies to Nurture IB PYP Learner Profile Attributes” at the European Azerbaijan School.

The session focused on exploring innovative approaches to fostering the IB PYP Learner Profile attributes in everyday classroom practice, aligning with the programme’s emphasis on holistic, student-centered learning. Through interactive activities, collaborative discussions, and practical examples, participants explored effective strategies to cultivate attributes such as being inquirers, communicators, risk-takers, and reflective learners.

Educators also examined ways to integrate these attributes meaningfully into teaching and learning, ensuring that students develop not only academically but also as principled and internationally minded individuals.
