We recently had the distinct honor of hosting Swinda A. Maduro-Schwengle at our Hyatt Place location to lead a Papiamento A2 group course.
As the founder and head teacher of Cas di Papiamento, Swinda is the leading authority on our local language. While she typically dedicates her expertise to exclusive private classes, she recently stepped in to lead two special group sessions for our students, a rare opportunity to learn directly from the source of the curriculum.
The Evolution of the Academy
The growth of the Academy of Education is a story of professional synergy. Building on the foundation of Cas di Papiamento, Swinda and her daughter, a prominent serial entrepreneur joined forces to establish the Academy. This partnership has allowed us to expand our reach:
• Cas di Papiamento: Remains our specialized branch focused solely on Papiamento language excellence.
• Academy of Education: Serves as our broader corporate hub, offering numerous types of professional trainings and a diverse range of language courses, including English, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian, German, Portuguese etc.

New Horizons: Papiamento A1 for English Speakers has officially launched! 🇦🇼✨
We are excited to welcome our newest cohort to the Academy of Education at Aeromall. This week, a motivated group of students began their journey into the Papiamento language, specifically tailored for English speakers.
Learning the local language is more than just a skill; it is a gateway to deeper cultural connection and professional integration here in Aruba. Under the guidance of our expert instructors, these students are building the foundation they need to communicate with confidence.
We look forward to seeing the progress of this group over the coming weeks!

The Academy of Education is proud to introduce another exceptional addition to our faculty: Lila Mendoza Bati. Lila is a highly accomplished Professional Translator, Interpreter, and Language Teacher with decades of international experience.
Her arrival brings a profound level of expertise to our students, backed by an impressive background in both education and high-level linguistics:
• Multilingual Expertise: Lila is a specialist in English, Spanish, and French.
• Deep Experience: She has spent nearly 20 years as a K-12 Spanish Foreign and Native Language teacher, alongside a long-standing career as a freelance interpreter for complex fields like economics and the oil and gas industry.
• Highly Qualified: Lila holds a Bachelor in Translator and Interpreter and is a Certified Language Teacher. She is also currently advancing her expertise through a Neurolinguistics Practitioner Certification.
• Cultural Bridge: With experience managing cultural and educational activities for international institutes, she excels at creating culturally sensitive learning environments.
Lila’s dedication to student potential and her “organized and systematic approach” make her an invaluable asset to our mission of providing top-tier training in Aruba.
