Also, the project aims to build capacity and networks amongst cultural heritage institutions on the islands and the Netherlands.
Traveling Caribbean Heritage is a joint academic project by the Royal Institute for Linguistics (KITLV) Leiden, the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the University of Aruba, the Da Costa Gomez University of Curaçao and fundacion FUHIKIBO of Bonaire. The aim of this project is to conduct comparative research on cultural heritage management, nation building and nation branding in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and the Netherlands. Traveling Caribbean Heritage is funded by NWO.
