On Friday, five of our students represented St Columba’s at the Bathurst Diocesan Athletics Carnival at Barden Park in Dubbo.

Despite the cold, overcast and drizzly conditions, everyone represented our school with pride. With students and schools travelling from all across the Bathurst Diocese, it was a fantastic experience and a great opportunity to compete at such a high level.

Tess competed in the 8 Years Girls 100m and put in a brilliant run in her heat to qualify for the final! Tess backed it up with another fantastic effort in the final, finishing 9th overall, making her the ninth fastest 8 year old girl in the Bathurst Diocese! An incredible achievement and something to be very proud of.

Our relay team of Fletcher, Bailey, John and Will also produced a fantastic performance, finishing 3rd in the PP5 relay event! All four boys ran strongly, with some excellent baton changes helping the team put together a great race.

Most importantly, all five students supported one another and did their best despite a very chilly and wet day. They should be extremely proud of the way they represented St Columba’s.
