🎪 Southern Realm Festival 🎪

This weekend was a BIG ONE!

We visited the Southern Realm Festival on Sunday and had a wonderful time exploring the markets, obtaining my Bj 660 grave glass beads from the ever talented Boka Vik (thank you Kath!), catching up with friends, snuggling coos from Northview Highlands and marvelling at the talents of horseback archers, buhurt fighters and more.

Unfortunately my beloved mother became unwell & needed assistance - she has now recovered thank the gods!

Huge thank you to Adam, Scott & James from Raven Sage who assisted us, the incredible team at Southern Realm, the Boonah paramedics and hospital staff, and Lizzie from Midnight Ritual - Liz & Phil whose hug came at the perfect time!

Biggest thanks to my sister Deb for driving mum home to Warwick and holding down the fort overnight, you are a legend.

I hope everyone who attended had a wonderful time, I can't wait to be back next year!

In the meantime, preparations for beltane fire are underway (only 2 months away!)

The moon and Venus alignment last night.

It was so beautiful watching them dance together as the sunset lit the stage.

Vali came home from our walk and wanted to see Venus on his VR headset, and went to sleep whispering about the planets and their brightness.

Will humans ever not marvel at the mysteries of the sky? I hope not.

Many of you know that I live and breathe my work.

I am not a weekend shaman, nor do I claim that sacred title. I am aware of the colonial harm that has been caused by appropriating ancient, indigenous words and applying them to contemporary practices that are not the same.

As I stand as a nominee for 'shaman' in the Spiritual Leaders Awards International, I make a commitment to the power of words and our use of them. I stand honoured, as one who can shift the mindset and speak to the power of traditional language and the power of titles.

I do not stand as 'shaman', but as one breathes in shamanic ways.

I do not stand as 'shaman', but as one who dances with the spirits.

I do not stand as 'shaman', but as one who sings the varðlokkur.

I do not stand as 'shaman', but as one who bears the staff.

I do not stand as 'shaman', but as one who weaves seiðr.

I stand as völva. I stand as seiðkona.

It is an honour to be witnessed by those who Seek my aid, and as these awards bear witness to our sacred work, I make a commitment to uphold the sacred power of language and title.

🌳🧝‍♀️ What a whirlwind! 🧝‍♀️🌳

Thank you to EVERYONE involved in this weekend's Woodfolk & Wildflowers event 🙏

I met the most incredible Seekers - some old, some new, some delivering beautiful stories of how a past rune reading transformed their lives, others held in solidarity as tears flowed with relief, joy, and being witnessed where and how they are 🥰

These events mean more to me than I could ever express in words - today my body aches, and my heart is so incredibly full ❤️‍🔥

To the 3 gorgeous souls that make up Enchanted Faire & Artist Alley - thank you Lizzie, Paris & Jasmine from the bottom of my heart 😘

To the volunteers & security, you make these moments safe, fun and well run - thank you 🙌

To the many friends I briefly said hello to, I hope you had a wonderful time - thank you for sharing moments with me ✨️

To my beautiful parents, especially my mum, thank you for being so supportive so that I can continue to live a life I love (there is no work!) 😍

And to the 24 elder fuþark runes, my dear friends and guides, it is an honour to know you and continue to hold the torch for humanity as we weave together 🪢

Despite the many behind-the-scenes complications, dramas and challenges, and an extended stay in Warwick due to highway closures, I am finally home safe, sound and satisfied 🏡
