Dad’s Day Out – This Saturday!

A friendly reminder that our Dad’s Day Out is happening this Saturday afternoon, 29 August 2026!

We already have dozens of dads coming along, and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic afternoon of fun and connection.

A big thank you to our event partner, Elevate Training Centre, for supporting this event.

Book Week Costume Parade – This Thursday!

A friendly reminder that our Book Week Costume Parade is happening this Thursday, commencing at 9:15am on the Lower Oval.

Parents and carers are warmly invited to stay and watch the parade as we celebrate this year's Book Week theme, Symphony of Stories.

A few important reminders for costumes:

Students must wear closed-in shoes.
Costumes must be sun safe, please no sleeveless costumes.
Any costume props are to remain in the classroom during playtimes for everyone's safety.

We can't wait to see all the wonderful characters and creative costumes come to life!

⚽🌟 A Big Thank You to Our P&C! 🌟⚽

A huge thank you to our wonderful Wooloowin State School P&C for the fantastic new HART Sport equipment for our students!

Our P&C gave the students the opportunity to put together a sporting equipment wish list, and one of their big requests was for large goals - and they have now arrived!

It's wonderful to see our students having a voice in what they'd like to see around their school, and we're sure the new goals and equipment will get plenty of use in the playground and during sporting activities.

Thank you to our P&C for continuing to support our students and help bring their ideas to life.

We can't wait to see the new equipment in action!

Last night we held our Future Prep 2027 Information Evening, and what a fantastic turnout we had!

It was wonderful to welcome so many of our future Prep families to Wooloowin State School and share a little more about what makes our school and Prep program so special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved meeting you and are excited to continue supporting our future Preppies and their families as they prepare for their big school adventure in 2027!

🌟 A little reminder for our future Preppies!
Our Prep 2027 Playgroup is on Friday, 21 August from 9:15am–10:00am. Please meet us at the Chess Board, and remember that parents/carers are required to stay for the session.

We can't wait to see some of our future Preppies tomorrow! 💙🌟

🚗 Active School Travel – Carpooling! 🚗

Why take two cars when one will do? Carpooling with another school family can save time and money, reduce traffic around our school and help the environment.

Many Wooloowin families live close by, so have a chat with your friends and neighbours and see who might be going your way!
