Cedars Aspire

Work is well underway on our ASPIRE building. In recent weeks, the slab has been poured, scaffolding has been installed, and the structure is beginning to take shape.

Recently our Principal Steve Walton visited the site with our Cedars Maintenance Team to check out the recent changes and developments, snapping some photos of the progress along the way.

We look forward to seeing this purpose-built facility come to life and the positive impact it will have on the learning, growth and wellbeing of our ASPIRE students.

Today our ASPIRE students and staff joined the wider Cedars community in contributing to our Social Justice Pantry Collection. Donations were packed and organised by our Year 12 students for distribution to local food banks and community kitchens throughout the Illawarra.
It’s wonderful to see such a strong spirit of generosity and service in our community.

Last Friday, Cedars ASPIRE showed up in full colour for our Jersey Day Missions Fundraiser - a day that brought energy, connection and a whole lot of team pride. From favourite sporting teams to jerseys representing our own, it was a powerful reminder of what it looks like to belong, and to come together for something bigger than ourselves.

All funds raised are supporting our mission partnership with Forever Projects, helping create lasting impact well beyond our gates.

Throughout the day, students took on the challenge of throwing, kicking and scoring 5,895 goals. Our ASPIRE students had a great time throwing baskets with their Year 12 prayer partners!

Our Cedars Vocal Group is a wonderful co-curricular opportunity that students love being part of! Recently, the group has been busy rehearsing pieces in preparation for upcoming end-of-Term 2 presentations and showcases. It is great to see some of our Secondary Aspire students have also been coming along and enjoying rehearsals.

Our ASPIRE students looked fantastic and brought so much joy on our School Photo Day! It was wonderful to see their confidence and personalities on display, with so many bright, happy faces captured.

Today our Primary ASPIRE Class had a wonderful time thoughtfully choosing their special gifts to give Mum on Mother’s Day!

We’re excited to introduce a new Social Skills program for our Cedars ASPIRE students, designed to support connection, confidence, and positive relationships.
Today, School Psychologist Hannah Baker visited the Stage 2 class for the very first session, where students enjoyed getting to know one another through games and guided activities in a safe and supportive setting.

Our Cedars ASPIRE Students have been enjoying Easter celebrations through a range of craft activities. Yesterday, our students had fun decorating Easter-themed cookies - embracing their creativity and enjoying a tasty treat afterwards!

Yesterday we celebrated the hard work and achievements of our K-6 and ASPIRE Students in our Primary End of Term Assembly. Congratulations to Maya for receiving the Principal’s Character Award, and Charlotte for receiving the Principal’s Effort award - recognising their dedication to their learning and their own personal growth. Well done!
