It is with immense joy and pride that we share the excellent achievements of our HSC graduates of 2024. The journey undertaken by Glenaeon's Year 12 students not only reflects the school's ethos but also showcases their ability to navigate profound questions about human purpose while immersing themselves in a rigorous academic program.

Congratulations to our dedicated and inspiring students. And to their families, teachers and staff who, together, have achieved outstanding results.

What a fabulous turn out we had this year for our annual GlenX alumni reunion event at our Middle Cove Campus. We were thrilled to host alumni from as far away as the Central Tablelands of NSW, Adelaide, SA and even had guests flying in from Japan. We also had wonderful representation of past and current staff including Guardians Yura Totsuka, Alisan Smotlak, former Class Teacher John Rowan and other long-standing staff including Glennis Mowday, Catherine Pilko, Elizabeth Ellean and Lynne Collett.

All decade groups enjoyed the photo boards and memorabilia shared from the archives and guests noticed the differences and improvements that had been made around the campus since they walked the school yard years ago. Our Head of School Diana Drummond made a heartwarming speech and the guests joined in a recital of the Morning Verse together. Thank you to all who came and shared a beautiful afternoon reconnecting.

Next year, we are looking forward to hosting the Class of 1975, 1985, 1995, 2005 and 2015 - if this is you, and you would like to help gather alumni to attend the event, please email [email protected]. We can't wait to celebrate again in 2025!

VALE Jonas Stoebe

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jonas Stoebe, a cherished member of our Glenaeon family.

Jonas was more than just an educator; he was a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to all who knew him. With unwavering dedication, Jonas had been part of our school community for 10 years, leaving an indelible mark on countless students' lives.

Our school community is heartbroken by this loss. We extend our deepest condolences to Jonas’ family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. The impact Jonas had on our school and the lives of our students is immeasurable, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Friends and colleagues of Jonas have set up a fundraiser in support of Jonas’ partner Belinda and their two young sons, Lio and Luca.

MIDWINTER - Walking the spiral is a time of deep introspection and contemplation. We are reminded of the cyclical nature of life and the importance of nurturing our inner light.
