We aim to organize events and activities to further student education both in clinical skills and academically. Mee

tings are held every couple of months. Attending the EMIG meetings will also put you in contact with emergency medicine physicians and toxicologists that work right here at our clinical school! Come and meet people, educate yourself and have fun...

Examples of our activities include suturing workshop, airway workshop, Introduction to Emergency Medicine and student led 'Not So Grand Rounds'. You don't need to be a member to participate, nor is attendance limited to those planning a career in Emergency Medicine. All are welcome and invited to attend.

The trial exam on 11th August is for Network 5 Emergency Medicine Trainees who will be sitting their final OSCE fellowship exam.

The Exam will be held at Westmead Hospital I the library. Your role is that of a role player. ( you will either represent a patient / parent or similar). It is a great opportunity to see how an OSCE is run.
The exam starts at 0900 and we ask that you are at Westmead Library at 0830. The exam finishes at 1500.

There will be break for morning tea and lunch – which will be provided. WE can also provide you a parking ticket if your usual place of work is not Westmead.

We are looking for actors for our Network 5 OSCE Trials on 7th and 19 August 2025.

Would you know of any med students who would be available to assist for those dates. We need 6 actors on each date.

7 August is the General OSCE
19 August is the Paediatric OSCE.

The OSCE trials will be held at the Westmead Library in the WECC (level 2, Westmead Hospital)

It will be a 0830 start and 1530 finish.

Coffee/ morning tea and lunch will be provided

The 2 day workshop will be held in the Simlab of Susan Wakil building at USYD.
Sat 16th Aug 9-5pm and Sun 17th 0830-2:30pm.
It is a great way to network with sonographers and ED clinicians!
