🌿 Bush Kindy Adventures at Little Gumnuts West Pymble! 🌿

Exploring nature is one of the best ways children learn. During our recent Bush Kindy incursion with Trevor, children discovered the wonders of the environment as they searched for and collected natural materials, encouraging curiosity, observation, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

To continue this learning, our educators celebrated National Tree Day by inviting children to create their own trees through a creative art experience. Families also had the opportunity to extend the celebration by joining the Ku-ring-gai Council Community Tree Planting Day, helping children understand the importance of caring for our environment and giving back to the community.

Growing curious minds, one nature adventure at a time. 🌱

Cosy, creative, and full of smiles! 💙🧸

This week at Little Gumnuts Merrylands, we celebrated Pyjama Week in the best way possible!

Our Little Bunnies explored their creativity with a fun pyjama painting activity, while our Little Giraffes and Bears were captivated by an interactive puppet show that inspired imagination, language development, and plenty of laughter.

From colourful creations to shared stories, it was a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and cosy fun in our favourite pyjamas! 💤

Little Gumnuts West Pymble proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week through a meaningful learning experience inspired by Aboriginal ways of Knowing, Being and Doing. 🤎

Children explored their natural environment by collecting gumnuts from the backyard before using them to create Aboriginal inspired symbols. Through hands-on experiences like these, they developed a deeper appreciation for culture, connection to Country, and creative expression.

At Little Gumnuts Merrylands, we celebrated NAIDOC Week through meaningful, hands on experiences. Children explored Aboriginal symbols through sensory play with coloured rice, created Aboriginal flag handprints, and enjoyed a creative craft inspired by How the Birds Got Their Feathers.

🎨🌼 Creativity blooms through observation!

At Little Gumnuts, our little artists explored the beauty of still life painting by carefully observing Celia flowers. As they examined the colours, shapes, and delicate petals, they discovered how paying close attention to nature can inspire creativity.

Using their observations, each child created their own unique still life masterpiece, developing their artistic skills, fine motor coordination, concentration, and appreciation for the natural world through hands-on learning.
