☀️The sun shine brightly for a fun day at our Under 8’s Day.

Thank you everyone who came along to our Under 8’s Day today. Our amazing WESS Staff worked very hard alongside BSHS Staff and Students to make this day very special for our Prep to Year 2 students and families. We loved having so many community members and local Early Childhood Education Centres attend.

A quick reminder that Prep and Year 1 students will wait in the Hall before school this morning while we set up for our exciting Under 8’s Day celebrations! 🎉🌈

There will be lots of fun and inviting activities set up throughout Campus Heart and Vulture Street Oval. Please remind your child to show our Ready, Kind and Safe expectations by not playing with or touching the activities before school so everything is ready for the celebrations.

We can’t wait for a wonderful morning of fun, play and connection! 💛

There will be so much to explore — bubbles, dress-ups, science, music, chalk drawing, sensory play, big blocks, cosmic yoga, crowns, playground fun, a silent disco and more! 🎨🫧👑🎶🔬

Children can use their special Under 8’s Day Passport to explore the different activities around the school. We’ve attached the event flyer, activity map and passport so families can start planning their morning.

Bring along your picnic and teddy bear, your sense of adventure and get ready to celebrate, connect and PLAY together! 💙💛

🥁🏆 An extraordinary achievement for our West End percussion ensemble!

Our talented Year 4, 5 and 6 students have been awarded 1st Place in the C Grade division at the Australian Percussion Eisteddfod.

As the only primary school ensemble in the competition, they performed against public and private high school ensembles from across Australia, many made up of students with several more years of musical and ensemble experience.

For a group that only formed this year, this result is nothing short of remarkable. Their dedication, teamwork and commitment have been outstanding, and we couldn't be prouder.

Congratulations to our incredible young musicians and their teacher, Mr Paton! 🎶👏🏆
