Yesterday, we visited the Liverpool Plains Shire Council Werris Creek Library and read a story ‘The Night the Moon went Missing’ which created a conversation about rockets and astronauts.

Then we went into Werris Creek Community Garden and planted corn seeds and gazania plants.

Later in the afternoon back at preschool we researched the first moon landing with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin (not Lightyear) 😉

We had the best morning at Liverpool Plains Shire Council Werris Creek Library and Werris Creek Community Garden

Helen chose Derek and Frog stories for the children before heading out to the garden.

Darryl showed us how to create a storage area with a variety of natural things for birds to use in making their nests.

Then Lorae showed us our carrots we planted a few months ago, now it was time to harvest them!

We then headed back into the library for more book borrowing before returning to preschool.

🚐 Got 10 minutes? We reckon you’ve spent longer waiting for a coffee… ☕😉

Seriously though, when was the last time you had your blood pressure, blood sugar or cholesterol checked?

If you’re like most of us on the Liverpool Plains, you’re probably too busy feeding stock, driving trucks, sowing crops, running businesses, chasing kids, fixing fences …. or telling yourself, “I’ll do it next week.”

Well… next week has arrived!

The Rotary Men’s Health Education Rural Van (mherv) is rolling into Quirindi and Werris Creek with FREE health checks that take around 10 minutes.

No fuss.
No appointment.
No lecture.
Just a quick check that could make a huge difference.

❤️ Blood Pressure
🩸 Blood Sugar
🩺 Cholesterol

The scary part? High blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol often don’t give you any warning signs until something serious happens.

So why not spend 10 minutes looking after the one thing that keeps everything else running, YOU!

✅ FREE
✅ Confidential

💙 Do it for your grandkids.
💙 Do it for your mates.
💙 Most importantly… do it for yourself.

And while you’re at it… tag a mate who is famous for saying, “I’m fine!” 😄

Let’s see a queue at the van! You never know, those 10 minutes could be the most important 10 minutes of your year.
