Our Discovery Centre students enjoyed participating in a special and highly engaging Nazareth Day, where they journeyed back in time to learn more about the life of Jesus. Through a range of engaging, hands-on activities, students explored Jesus’ home life, work life, and the foods people ate during His time.
Students loved immersing themselves in experiences from everyday life in Nazareth. They made clay pots, baked unleavened bread, explored and crushed a variety of spices and herbs, squashed grapes, tried their hand at fishing, and even hammered nails into wood as they learned about Jesus’ work as a carpenter. These authentic experiences helped bring their learning to life and deepen their understanding of the world Jesus lived in.
It was wonderful to see the students so curious, engaged, and enthusiastic throughout the day as they explored the history, culture, and traditions of Jesus’ time.
A big thank you to the Discovery Centre teachers and Learning Assistants as well as Amanda, Andrea and Trish for all their preparation for a memorable day of faith, learning, and discovery for our youngest learners!

Congratulations to our students who recently received the Sacrament of the Eucharist!
As a school community, we celebrated this special milestone in their faith journey. Receiving the Eucharist for the first time is a significant and sacred moment, as our students are welcomed more deeply into the life of the Church and the table of Jesus.
We are incredibly proud of the commitment, reverence, and preparation shown by each student. Thank you to our families, parish community, and teachers who have supported and guided them throughout this important step.
May God continue to bless our students as they grow in faith, love, and friendship with Jesus.

Students in the Exploration Centre went on an excursion to Animal Land Children’s Farm in Diggers Rest. They learnt about a variety of farm animals and obtained an insight into how a real farm works. All students actively participated in a range of hands-on farm experiences such as tractor rides, nursing baby animals, milking a cow and much, much more.

As part of their learning about “Healthy Habitats”, Year 4s visited the Werribee Open Range Zoo. They observed different animals and the features of their habitat in their enclosures. Zoo educators talked about the Tammar Wallabies on the Australian Trail and the features of their habitat including vegetation, climate and water source. Students also saw the kangaroos, emus and koalas and the lions, hippos, elephants and gorillas on the African Trail. A special highlight was riding the Safari adventure bus and learning about oryx, camels, nyalas, cape barron geese, bison, ostriches, giraffes, eland, zebra, rhino in their woodland and savannah habitats.
