What a wonderful morning we shared at our Father’s Day Breakfast today!
It was so special to see our Bethany school community come together to celebrate the incredible dads, grandfathers and special father figures in the lives of our students. Families enjoyed coffee and pancakes together, sharing special moments and plenty of smiles before gathering for our beautiful Centre Liturgies.
Following breakfast, families came together in the Centres for a time to reflect, pray and celebrate the important role that fathers and father figures play in the lives of our children.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing dads, grandfathers, uncles and special father figures for the love, care, guidance and support you provide each day. We are so grateful to have you as part of our Bethany community.
Thank you also to everyone involved in setting up and preparing for this special morning. Your time and effort helped create such a warm and welcoming celebration for our families.
We wish all our dads, grandfathers, uncles and special father figures a very happy Father’s Day this Sunday!

Today 44 students from Years 4-6 participated in the Derrimut District Athletics Day at the VU Sporting Complex. The students competed in many track and field events. They won four out of six relay races with very smooth baton changes. As a school we can second overall. Many competitors will now compete in the Wyndham Athletics Day in September. We are so proud of our students well developed athletics skills as well as their great sportsmanship.

What a wonderful Book Parade we enjoyed today as part of Book Week 2026!

Held in our school hall, it was a colourful, joyful and exciting celebration of our love of reading, with our students bringing their favourite books and characters to life through their amazing costumes.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful parents and toddlers who came along to share in the celebration. Your support made the morning extra special!

A very special thank you also to our amazing teachers and administration staff who joined in the fun and dressed up for the occasion. Your creativity, enthusiasm and willingness to get into the spirit of Book Week made the parade such a memorable event!

Following the parade, our students worked in multi-aged groupings, where they participated in engaging literacy and craft activities based on a book. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to learn together, share their ideas and celebrate their love of stories and reading.

It was wonderful to see our whole school community come together to celebrate the magic, imagination and joy that books bring to our lives.

🎶 Every story has a rhythm, every book has a beat, and together they create a beautiful Symphony of Stories! 🎶

This week, we proudly participated in Bullying No Way Week 2026, joining schools across Australia to promote kindness, inclusion, respectful relationships and safe learning environments.

Throughout the week, our students explored how small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference — through videos, stories, discussions, webinars and creative activities. Students learnt about using kind words, including others, showing empathy and speaking up when something isn’t right.

Our Bethany expectations of Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible were at the heart of our learning.

Let’s continue to make a difference every day by choosing kindness, including others and standing up for what is right.

🌟 Small acts. Big impact.
🚫 Bullying has no place here — not now, not ever.
