📷ALUMNI MEMBER SNAPSHOT📷

Natasha graduated from PCSSC in 2013 after studying VCAL, which has been renamed VCE Vocational Major. Prior to completing a course studying disability and becoming a support worker, Tash spent a year working around the state as a carnival operator.
After Tash’s time as a carnival operator came to an end, she completed a traineeship in education support before moving to Western Australia to continue her passion in education. After spending three years in Western Australia, Tash moved back to Victoria to complete further studies focussed on school age care.
Looking back, Tash didn’t envision working within the education sector and supporting the students of our future and recognises that all of the teachers had a positive influence on her education

✨ALUMNI CLASSROOM SESSION✨
We recently welcomed alum Adriana (grad 2014) and Vendel (grad 2016) who spoke to our Year 11 VCE VM Personal Development Skills (PDS) students regarding their experiences with AI within the workplace and the positive/negative impact it had on their health and wellbeing.
It was a great opportunity for PCSSC students to hear how AI is being utilised within the workforce depending upon the industry.

Our Year 12 Business Management class had a small group session with our 2025 graduates Athena, Mannat, Sanket and Ashmeet. Our alum rotated to chat with each group highlighting their study techniques, exam approach to maximise results, their current tertiary experiences and answering questions

🎉Alumni 2026 semester 1 achievements🎉

Point Cook Senior conducted 11 Alumni sessions with the assistance of alum sharing their experiences with our students. We have had a variety of Alumni supported events, commencing with a Year 12 visit to RMIT, Year 11 Careers Assembly, alum judging the science fair, subject specific discussions supporting our Legal Studies, Health, Physics, Methods and General Math, Business Management, Accounting and Chemistry students.

🎓ALUMNI CLASSROOM SESSION🎓
Matthew (2023 grad) and Avesta (2024 grad) spoke with our Year 12 Chemistry students, answering questions regarding study habits, challenging areas of study, exam preparation and tertiary expectations.
Avesta also provided advice to some Math Methods students during the session

✨ALUMNI CLASSROOM SESSION✨
Thank you to our 2025 graduates Ashmeet, Sanket, Mannat and Athena for volunteering their time to talk with our year 12 Business Management students
Each alum discussed their approach to various areas:
🔹Classroom topics: note taking, asking questions, closing their laptop to listen exclusively to instructions
🔹Study strategies: Flash cards, reviewing notes, creating posters for revision
🔹Exam preparation: some preferred to work alone while others had a study group
Alum presented their advice during a Q&A session, followed by answering questions in smaller groups
