Celebrating NAIDOC Week ❤️💛🖤

The children explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through meaningful, play-based experiences including dot painting, handprint art, nature collages, Australian animal artwork, stories, music and conversations about caring for Country.

Through these experiences, the children expressed their creativity, strengthened their fine motor skills and developed an early appreciation for Australia’s First Nations peoples, cultures and connection to the land.

Our daily Acknowledgement of Country also continued to support respect, belonging and learning together. 🌿

Little shoppers, chefs and restaurant helpers 🛒🥪

Last week, the children enjoyed exploring our pretend grocery store, making their own sandwiches and engaging in restaurant dramatic play.

Through these experiences, they practiced communication, sharing, taking turns and everyday life skills, all while having lots of fun together. 🍽️
