🏃‍♀️🏅 Leda Primary School Carnivals 2026 🏅🏃‍♂️

What a fantastic couple of days we’ve had celebrating our school community at our Kindy and Athletic Carnivals! 🎉

Our Kindy Carnival on Wednesday 16 September was a wonderful day filled with smiles, fun and plenty of enthusiastic participation. A huge thank you to our Kindy students for getting involved and giving everything a go! 👏💙💛

We then continued the celebrations with our Athletic Carnival on Thursday 17 September. A huge thank you to all our amazing students for your enthusiasm, effort and sportsmanship throughout the day. 👏

We’d also like to thank our wonderful parents and families for your support and encouragement and our dedicated staff for helping make both carnivals such successful and enjoyable events.

A special thank you to our Sports Teacher, Mr Lewis for all his hard work in organising the Athletic Carnival and ensuring everything ran so smoothly. We really appreciate the time and effort that went into making the day such a success! 🏃‍♂️👏
And a big thank you to our P&C for organising and running the lunch orders — your support was greatly appreciated! 🌭🍎

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making these two days so memorable for our school community. 💙💛

🏃‍♀️ ATHLETICS CARNIVAL – DATE CHANGE 🏃‍♂️

Our Athletics Carnival was scheduled for this Friday. Unfortunately, with the weather forecast predicting up to 20mm of rain, we have made the decision to move the carnival to:

📅 Thursday 17 September

The P&C have been consulted, and we are pleased to confirm that the BBQ lunch will still be available on Thursday. 🌭

We look forward to seeing everyone there for a great day of athletics! 🏅

🐾 Bully Zero Incursions at Leda!

Last week our students took part in Bully Zero sessions tailored to their year levels.

PP– Year 3 explored "Understanding Bullying," learning to recognise bullying behaviours, the role of bystanders, and how to ask for help.

Years 4–6 dug into “online safety" with a focus on staying safe online, recognising harmful behaviour on devices and social media, and practical strategies for responding and reporting. The photos below are from the Year 4-6 session and some of the content covered.

A huge thank you Justin from the Bully Zero team for delivering such valuable, age-appropriate sessions for our whole school community.

Remember - always choose kindness 💛

🌟 Room 8 – Learning, Laughing & Growing! 🌟

What a wonderful year it has been so far in Room 8! 📚✨

We have been developing our storytelling skills through Talk for Writing, while challenging ourselves with a variety of engaging and hands-on maths activities. 🔢🧠

We’ve loved spending time with our Pre-primary buddies, celebrating 100 Days of School with an exciting marshmallow challenge and letting our creativity shine during Creative Thursdays! 🎨☁️

Our Friday visits from the Stephen Michael Foundation have been another highlight. We’ve enjoyed getting involved in fun games, building our teamwork skills and of course sharing plenty of laughs along the way! 🤝🏃‍♀️

It’s been a fantastic year filled with learning, laughter, creativity and memorable moments. We can’t wait to see what adventures are still to come in Room 8! 💛🌈

💛 R U OK? Day 💛

Today we celebrated R U OK? Day with our wonderful staff! 🌼

We enjoyed some delicious themed cupcakes 🧁 and adorable gingerbread man cookies 🍪 while taking a moment to connect, check in and remind each other that a simple “R U OK?” can make a big difference.

A little kindness, a friendly conversation and taking the time to listen can go a long way. 💛

R U OK?
Because every conversation matters. 🌻
