Book Character Parade 2026

What a wonderful celebration of books and reading at our Book Character Parade!

This year’s theme, A Symphony of Stories, certainly came to life as our students, preschool children, preschool staff and school staff transformed into an amazing collection of much-loved book characters.

There was plenty of colour, creativity and excitement as everyone proudly paraded their costumes and celebrated the stories and characters we love.

A huge thank you to our families for helping create such fantastic costumes, and to everyone who joined in and made the day so much fun.

Our K-2 students enjoyed reflecting on their experiences with Healthy Harold, sharing what they learned about making healthy choices, friendships and looking after themselves. They had lots of fun creating some very cute Healthy Harold artwork to go with their writing! 🦒

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Miss Davison, who received an outstanding award for Leadership in Aboriginal Education at the Dungang Educational Award Ceremony. 🖤💛❤️

This incredible recognition acknowledges her excellence in leadership and her commitment to Aboriginal Education across our district.

And if that wasn’t enough… Miss Davison has also recently completed her Highly Accomplished Teacher Accreditation, joining an incredible group of fewer than 500 teachers across NSW who have achieved this level of accreditation. 👏✨

What an incredible achievement! We are so proud of you, Miss Davison, and the passion, dedication and leadership you bring to our students, our school and our community. 💙
