Synaptic pruning
Does anyone else find it hilarious that the NT's will call synaptic pruning that causes Alzheimer's an "overreactive immune system" problem, but they don't call neurotypicalism synaptic pruning the same thing?
Anyone see the double standard here?
Apparently...... not overly pruning (less synaptic pruning) in youth causes ADHD and autism - which they think is bad...
but when the opposite process occurs later in life - (we prune too much) it's also bad. So whether you prune too little or too much - you are broken and bad....
but who decides how much is the right amount? and why is pruning to become NT superior? and yet the exact same pruning process to get Alzheimer's is bad. There's a double standard here - and it always benefits the typical.
I wouldn't ever want to have neurotypicalness it seems to create severe prejudices and bigotry... maybe we should cure that before anything else.
Synaptic pruning at the root of autism and other neurodivergences????
The articles and studies that have found that autistics have more synaptics are ableist and offensive.
Why? Because they all suggest that pruning is good, that it's "superior" to: not prune or prune less.
But I haven't seen one study that proves WHY they consider it superior....or WHY it's better to prune all those connections.
NT's think their highly pruned brains are superior- and therefore want to force us to prune ours.
What did they do? They decided that autistics have more synapses (or different synaptic pruning to NTs) and being autistic is wrong and bad- so therefore.... a lack of pruning is bad.
Do you see the problem here? Do you see the ableism and hatred aimed at us?
Instead of trying to investigate why it might be a good thing to keep those synapses, or investigate why different brains feel the need to keep certain synaptics.... they instead assume inferiority and therefore the need to "fix" it or force us to trim our brains, our connections and/or our grey matter.
They are -as a result of their intense bigotry- looking into giving mice drugs to force them to trim synaptics so that they can one day force us to trim ours too.
How fu**ed up is that???
Human kind is not kind at all and is truly fu**ed!

Yet another of our community has (reportedly) taken their own life due to the discrimination, segregation and hatred from NT's and the media. Btw- i dont and didn't believe any of the s**t slinging crap the telegraph and times slung at you. Hopefully they'll be held accountable.
Please take care of yourselves. Autistics are 3 to 5 times more likely to die by su***de.
I will not tell you to call lifeline- (but you very much so can), but i know the administration of my local one- and my local one is prejudiced against us (and actually recommended more harmful things than helpful). There are some good orgs out there that may help, like beyond blue etc- but i will warn you that they are trained for NTs not ND's- and may suggest things that harm instead of help (thats my experience anyway, dont let it prevent you- just be wary of nt support programs).
If youve had similar experiences to me, I recommend to get support from us - other neuroaffirming autistic people. There are support groups available out there (i run 2) in australia. In the uk- maybe reach out to groups like Autistic Inclusive Meets Community Group AIM ... BUT PLEASE.. remember you are not alone. There's also trainers like Trauma Geek - Janae Elisabeth which may be of help too
The world is truly s**tty and full of hate towards us right now, try and stay safe, stay strong- find us- we are here waiting and willing to help and support.
Im truly saddened by this news... RIP Jason.
Ex-Cambridge professor at centre of plagiarism scandal found dead Jason Arday, who resigned from the University of Cambridge last week amid a high-profile plagiarism storm that featured racism claims, has been found dead.
Should we ban screens in schools?
F**K NO!!!!!
But probably not for the reason you think.
There is currently a group in Australia called “The Heads Up Alliance” that are trying to have screens banned for all primary schools across the country. This group is made up of teachers and parents – and has 15K followers. This group was also instrumental in the social media ban for under 16’s last year.
If you’ve read my other blogs on the social media ban – you’ll know my opinion of the harm and stupidity and direct/indirect discrimination of that ban on disabled people under the age of 16. That the ban is not about helping students, it’s about arbitrary control and limiting the ability of disabled people from communicating with the world. And that ban – added to the governments attack on autistic people and otherwise disabled people and their ability to access the community in person (by literally removing funding and supports so that we can access in person communication and supports etc) – is leading to the eradication of disabled children from society altogether. These two bans (the one above and the one below) aren’t about children at all – it’s about direct discrimination of disabled people.
Now they’re directly attacking disability tools. I have corresponded with them – but they are adamant in their ignorance that this new ban (just like the last one) is to help children, not to harm them. They also say that their petition and new ban does not affect or include the use of screens or tools for disabled children – but it does!!!!
This isn’t about children or learning – this is about a group of biased, bigoted people who hate the disabled, their tools and their ability to communicate with the world. First they tried to take their communication access to the world – now they are trying to take their access to learning tools. This isn’t about learning – this is about hatred of technology. Don’t be gullible, naive or ignorant.
When children are taught to use tools appropriately and safely – they use them appropriately and safely. There is no need to ban anything. Banning causes and forces more ignorance, it forces the dumbing down of society and the exclusion of differences and segregates certain groups or communities. This group doesn’t want learning – they want ignorance.
The teachers that they asked about this ban were in agreement – that banning screens isn’t the answer – that teaching how to use these things is the answer. Along with a curriculum that promotes equity, choice and control – while advocating for balance and proper utility of appropriate tools for appropriate learning. They agreed that banning screens will hurt children, not help them. We live in a digital world, and banning tech will force digital illiteracy and harmful use of devices – where children are not taught how to use them properly, effectively and safely.
Banning doesn’t teach. Banning forces people to be sneaky or to get around the ban. The previous under 16’s ban (thank goodness) hasn’t worked so far. But it still sets children up for digital/social media/bullying/ scamming illiteracy… and it sets up the government to be in a prime position to enforce it with fines for already destitute families, and allows the government to bring about the complete decimation of disability rights.
This group has an active petition to ban screens in schools. We don’t need to ban anything…. We need to teach about safety, which tools and mediums are great for different needs and different learning, and how to use them and be critical of what they show you.
Now – all of that are the ‘regular’ reasons why this ban is fu**ed up and harmful for all children. Let’s now talk about why it harms disabled children.
Disabled children can come with a range of disabilities, eg; blindness or sight/vision issues, Irlen’s or other processing issues, APD, hearing issues, GLP, EDS, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, apraxia and motor disinhibition etc etc etc. All of these things require different tools to help with each disability…. And most of them require screens or other mediums to learn.
When you ban a tool for NT/non disabled children but not for disabled children (as this group wants to do) they effectively make the tool inaccessible to the disabled children as well.
When my children were attending mainstream schooling, they were othered for their needs and their disabilities. That’s what this ban will do. Disabled people already feel different/ othered and ‘weird’ for their differentiated needs and different tools. My kids were picked on, bullied and physically attacked for their different tools. Even though some other children could’ve benefited from those tools being de-stigmatised and used by all.
When you ban something – you stigmatise it. You are literally saying – this tool is bad!
I directly quote the above-mentioned group here: “Our view is that reading physical books is superior to reading off a screen….. we don’t think 1:1 screens are needed at all in primary schools (except for children with special learning needs)”
The first part is extremely ableist – they are literally saying that one tool or medium is superior over disability tools…. Then the second part proves that the disabled community is an afterthought and an ‘add on’. They even comment that screens are needed for some learning needs – so how are they not needed for all. All students benefit from a differentiated medium and tool curricula and learning environment – and yet they think ‘normal’ kids should be banned from one of those tools.
They are stigmatising one type of tool over another.
Physical books are not superior. Listening to a book being read is not bad, reading on a screen is not bad, using a screen to communicate is not bad, using a screen to assist with EDS, arthritis or dysgraphia or another disability (to do with writing ability/capacity) is not bad. But when you ban it for abled people – you stigmatise it for all people – but especially for disabled people.
Let’s also look at it from yet another viewpoint.
Physical books aren’t being printed as much anymore. To get up to date/current and relevant information – you need screens. Encyclopedias and dictionaries have gone the way of the Dodo. You cannot look up a physical book anymore and know that it’s the most current and up to date information. Physical books are not superior in knowledge anymore….. and they are not in choice of medium anymore either.
Also, don’t forget that screens these days offer the latest teaching tools and ways for children to access learning right now – wherever they are.
If you are outside, and want to know what something is, you can take out your phone – use an app like google lens and snap a photo and find out. If you ban tech, the whole class would need to return to the library (which by the way don’t exist in many schools these days), and take painstaking hours to look through nature books, encyclopedias and every source in order to possibly not find the answer. Wasting the students and teachers time - time that they are severely lacking and don’t have… and time that’s need for other learning.
A note on physical libraries: In Australia, most country schools do not have physical books in the schools anymore (because of how out of date they become within the year)… these schools rely on a mobile library (a bus that has very limited number of books, that roams around the schools weekly. Each school has about an hour to look at the books available in the bus/ or van and then pick from what’s available what they want and put their names down on a wait list for a book that has been lent out to another child at another school in the district. These waitlists are 2 weeks long, and sometimes multiple children have put their names down on the list – this means the child is waiting (sometimes) a couple months for that book to become available.
In order to have learning available for these children in these schools – the school would need to be funded to the hilt – to build libraries, to buy books and to hire librarians again. The schools and the government simply don’t have these funds.
Many towns have shut their local libraries or combined their local library with the local high school – which have become dangerous places for primary school aged children to visit – due to the public and high school students using the one space. Most of these libraries have also changed over to digital. They supply computers or a computer room, they have similar waitlists for books, and these libraries are severely limited on space and funds.
Not all schools are in a close proximity to a library either. This would require more time, and more money to transport all the students to these libraries…. And then – the public is detrimented by the number of students attending these sites. A local library in a country town with perhaps 5 or 6 primary schools with maybe 500 students in each school cannot accommodate that number of students visiting their libraries weekly, or daily – as this ban would require.
Do you see the utter ignorance and stupidity of this ban yet??????
Ok let’s talk about different classes within schools.
Schools are supposed to have second language studies, but regional schools struggle to get proficient and suitably qualified and experienced teachers to teach these subjects. Having the students backed up by programs like duolingo on screens helps alleviate the strain on already under staffed/equipped schools.
How about geography. Countries change constantly – their names, their borders etc – the introduction of online maps to learn geography was a godsend – no more printed outdated maps – and the money it costs to print those outdated materials.
How about music. Musical instruments cost money. Schools have had these programs defunded over the years. Some regional schools have a wondering music teacher or wandering specialist teacher for languages or other topics these days. To keep in contact with these teachers – many students have online lessons or use apps to study or learn music and other subjects…. It’s simply not available without that online content or teacher.
News has been taught in schools since I was in primary school decades ago – they used BTN (the ABC program “Behind the News”). Will banning screens also mean getting rid of this source of information and learning?
With universities not teaching specialist subjects like science and mathematics to our teachers appropriately or thoroughly – students need some way to back up what’s being taught – screens (whether you love or hate them) are a great source of instruction for any subject that a child is missing because of the lack in the teachers skills or knowledge. This is not a rebuke of teachers – this is a rebuke of universities, and a note that all people can know everything about every topic. You ban screens, you make a teachers life harder too – and you then must require better education and resources for those teachers. But this ban does come with more education or more resources.
Please tell me you see the stupidity in this ban now? Have I explained all the dumbassery of banning a tool that is inanimate and does not hold malice as it’s goal or intent? Have I explained enough about it harms all involved – not just students, but teachers, families and especially disabled children? Have I proven that this ban is not about learning – and only about bias and hatred of a tool – not about increasing help for teachers and students? If I haven’t I’m sorry… but that’s on you not me – if you can’t see that this ban is bad for all – your more pig headed and ignorant than I thought…. Good luck to you – and your future ignorant children. Sorry – not sorry…. But banning is never the answer to anything.
Just came across an Autism Mom(™) support group that ACTUALLY BELIEVE vaccines caused their child's autism 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
These as****es actually believe in stopping vaccinations.
oh well - at least the population will be culled of ignorant people - unfortunately diseases like Measels, polio & diptheria, whooping cough, rotavirus, chickenpox, tetanus and mumps don't just attack the ignorant and wilfully hateful 😥 F**K YOU, you wanksplat brainwormed dickwads.
The WAR on Autistics is still in full swing, and is gaining ground
In the UK:
We have an 85-year-old D-Bag who is denying that autistic people are autistic. She is undiagnosing people and telling them they can’t possibly be autistic because she only believes in her 60’s outdated and irrelevant research that says only people with a lot of co-occurring disabilities can be autistic. And, that apparently people without lots of other disabilities can’t be autistic.
This affects every autistic person around the world – it spreads old and debunked information that has harmed us for decades. It’s also unprofessional to undiagnosed people and horribly wrong to throw aspersions on random people and their medical history or neurotype.
Meanwhile, the media in the UK are supporting the governments terminology and agenda to spread hate by using terms like ‘mild’ or ‘moderate’ or ‘severely’ or ‘profoundly’ autistic etc. Or “has autism” – because they hope to influence the public in thinking that we can be separated or cured from our autism.
This is all in attempt to remove SEND rights and needs from schools – to save money. They spread hate to save money – what kind of fu**ed up people do that?
They’ve already removed many specialist schools (just as they did in Australia) and now they attack specialist supports and staffing in mainstream schools. This isn’t an attempt to save money IMO – it’s an attempt to remove disabled people from society… just as their “ban social media” BS is about – we saw it in Australia – UK are following suit – take away their rights to communicate online – then remove their rights to be seen/heard and be present in the community (eg: in schools)
In the US:
We have a dump truck of a president and brain wormed “secretary of Health” that are spreading hate about autistics. They hope by ordering executive orders that further scare families and spread misinformation about vaccines – that they can either cause our eradication, or spread so much hate that they’ll be allowed (because the public will hate us so much they won’t bat an eye) when they put us into camps and back into asylums.
Measels, polio & diptheria, whooping cough, rotavirus, chickenpox, tetanus and mumps are all having a resurgence because of these two fu**ed up morons and their hate agenda/ need to deflect from the Epstein files. They are going to cause the death of more than just the autistic community in their blind hatred and stupidity.
They are removing ABA from Medicaid in many areas. This is actually a good thing for the autistic community – but dump truck and rfk don’t realise this – let’s keep this one a secret. But for families who require babysitting – it’s becoming a problem. BTW: I do not agree with using abusive aba to babysit children – but I have no right to speak – as I’m privileged to:
1. Not be in the US,
2. Not needing babysitting as we homeschool,
3. That’s up to the individual families and none of my business.
BUT – it’s the same thing that other countries are doing – removing supports and funding for autistic people – which is direct discrimination.
Assault and abuse is apparently on the rise in the US against autistic individuals.
In Australia:
We are ending the senate hearing into the NDIS bill tomorrow. This bill is one of the most hate filled pieces of s**t I’ve seen in recent years. It directly discriminates against all disabled people, but it disproportionately affects the autistic community, as well as the autism community, plus ‘real’ therapists (eg: psychs, OT and speech – as opposed to pretend ones like PBS a-holes), and the female population – as females in Australia (as well as round the world) are usually the predominant carers of the ill, disabled and children.
We haven’t even ended this hearing – but we have fu**ed up ministers announcing “When the bill takes effect”. This is blatant and clear message that no one matter what we say or do in defense of our human rights – the Australian government is going discriminate against us anyway.
Meanwhile – The Heads Up Alliance are trying to make disability tools offensive and banned in schools (more about this in my next blog).
School funding is being stripped (just like the UK), and teachers in VIC still aren’t making any head way in getting the government to understand the needs of their students and the needs for being properly funded and staffed (I’m so sorry vic teachers – I hope it gets better soon).
Just like the UK – MP’s and the media are continuing to spout hate language about autistics to continue the hatred coming from the general public.
The census (on Tuesday this week) denied the existence of life long disabilities – it wasn’t even given as an option in the questions… yet another attempt to prove (for the NDIS bill) that lifelong disabilities don’t exist.
• Other similar things are happening across the globe – These 3 countries just seem to be doing it more and worse/more prevalently or more frequently than some other countries. Sorry if I missed your country – please, if you are from another country – please comment below what your country is doing to attack and discriminate against our community.
What are we doing about it?
I feel like it’s F**K ALL! But it isn’t – there are many many individuals and many groups trying to fight this stuff, unfortunately the biggest and loudest (the as***le bigots and ableists in the world) are getting the most attention and causing this hatred to spread further and faster than we can keep up with or defend/prevent in real time. Keep fighting the good fight.
People like me are posting, making blogs and podcasts and things. People or groups like ANPA or Kristie Lee Advocacy and myself are fighting the good fight for us in Australia – with petitions, getting the Human Rights Commission involved and taking things to parliament, to VCAT and the media etc and trying to change the minds of people by talking directly to groups that affect the direct discrimination of our community.
In other countries, there’s people like Pete Wharmby, Emma Delmayne, Neurodivergent Rebel etc speaking out and gaining traction to spread information and understanding of what’s going on everywhere.
There are groups like Autism Inclusive Meets, ASAN and others who are trying their damned best to get harmful things banned and inform people about the dangers out there. Please follow these groups and people and stay informed.
Help- if and when you can and stay safe.
Look- its me!
Setting boundaries around screen use or anything else in life.
What is a boundary? What is an arbitrary abusive rule?
A boundary is ‘set’ when two or more people come together and discuss their individual needs – and then come to a collaborative agreement on how all parties can get their needs met in the same space/ same time etc without one party being discriminated against, deprived or robbed of their ability, or denied their uniqueness, or need to be themselves . ALL parties have their say in the ‘set boundary’ and NOONE is; degraded, detrimented, demeaned, disadvantaged, manipulated, influenced/swayed or dictated to or limited by, unfairly restricted/restrained, or left devoid of; autonomy, control, equity, fairness, justice, or equal standing.
A boundary is the coming together of people for the benefit of all. It’s where all parties feel safe to express themselves and their individual needs AND understand that others also have their uniqueness that needs to be expressed and honoured, with their needs equally considered and met.
An arbitrary abusive rule is where one party decides the fate of another; with complete bias, control, manipulation and dictatorship of others and their needs. This is where the person “in control” (in the case of children – the adult, either teacher, parent or person of power) decides what the rule is going to be and then pronounces it to others and expects unquestioned compliance.
This often occurs with utterly no understanding or conversation about the other party/ parties needs, abilities/ disabilities, trauma or anything else. It is a DICK move! A DICKtator move.
Most schools, authoritarian parents and as***le bosses will use the ‘rules’ option. They set rules with complete ignorance and then expect subservience, obedience, conformity and submission.
It’s funny to me that the antonym to conformity is “Divergence”. Because that’s what we do and want – we want freedom, autonomy and respect as neurodivergent people. And yet the Neuronormative society only want, expect and set rules in order to achieve conformity. Conformity does not get you respect – it actually warrants and receives deep disrespect.
If you want to have your needs met; whether it’s as a teacher teaching a classroom full of students, or as a parents living with your children, or as a boss working with your employees – you have two choices.
Setting a rule will get you that deep and abiding disrespect as a human who is unable to actually work with and respect other people and their needs. But if you want to actually get along with those in the world, and those closest to you …..
Setting boundaries collaboratively is what will get you that respect, kindness and your needs met.
When you control – the people you try to control will hate you for it – but they will also try to find ways around it
When you collaborate – the people around you will be more willing to listen to you and your needs, and meet them, and ask for their own REASONABLE needs to be met simultaneously. The struggle stops – and the learning, working and living together begins.
You can see it in society daily. If you have a dictatorship society – you have a deeply unhappy society and one that eventually revolts, because the ones at the bottom are not coping or surviving.
If you have a “TRULY” democratic society – where everyone is treated kindly and with equal respect – you have a productive, happy society, where all people – (not just the ones at the top) are thriving.
If you are setting rules in a classroom or for your own children – you will possibly see anger, aggression, violence, or perhaps the students/children being sneaky, lying, (even sometimes doing illegal things like stealing), they’ll try getting around your rules, running away/eloping, refusing to do things etc.
If you have a collaborative home/ classroom (where you set boundaries together) – you’ll see that the children feel safe – they feel they are respected and give respect in return. They feel safe to learn and to impart learning to their peers. To work together to the benefit of self and others.
If you are setting a rule about the amount of time another person can use a ‘screen’ – you are doing the DICKtator thing. If you instead teach your child how to be safe online, give them tools to be safe, to play safely, to interact safely, to come to you (as the adult) when they feel unsafe or are unsure about something – you have not just taught them vital life skills that they’ll need forever more – you have effectively parented (or ‘adulted)- AND you have successfully made it safe for a child to set their own healthy balanced limits around screens.
Learning to limit yourself healthily is one of the most important life skills any human can learn. To learn to moderate all things – is learning to help yourself and protect yourself. To moderate alcohol, food, sugar, medications, toxic people or relationships, sleep, play, work, and yes – screens, is something that you don’t learn from someone else limiting those things for you. You only learn those things by self-exploration, making mistakes and gorging yourself.
I learnt that relationships – no matter the type of relationship (student/ teacher, parent/ child, boss/employee, romantic partners, me v’s food, me v’s screens, me v’s work etc) can all be harmful. I didn’t learn that from being limited to access to them – I learnt that from lived experience…. And a lot of it.
If you are needing to have a discussion with your child about their screen use, because you deem it to be unhealthy –
you first need to de-school yourself or unlearn your own prejudices against screens. Screens aren’t dangerous (unless they’re hurtled at your head) – they are inanimate objects without feeling or malice – but what people do on them is dangerous. If you’ve taught your children well – how to stay safe, how to keep good mental health etc, then the only ‘danger’ are things like not balancing activity/ movement, which can affect fitness or physical health.
A child may learn this vital skill by being inactive for too long, gaining weight or being properly informed. The informing – is your job as the adult… teaching them about physical activity and movement and what happens to your body when you sit still for too long. You can do this through many differing mediums and methods. Through modelling, by telling/ lecturing/ teaching, giving examples, doing both active things and inactive things and discussing how they feel before, after and during and how they feel long term with doing either excessively. Too much movement can be bad for you too btw.
2nd: you need to discover what about the screens the child needs, is craving, is not getting elsewhere and then meet those needs.
Talk to them, investigate, watch, take notes and discuss. The child may not know specifically what they are getting out of it, only that when they don’t have it – they become angry, annoyed, bored, tired, depressed etc. That’s NOT addiction!!!!! – that’s an unmet need.
When a child feels bereft or harmed by not having a ‘thing’ – then that ‘thing’ is serving a purpose – you need to figure out what that purpose is.
A toddler may ‘need’ a specific stuffed toy for comfort, if you remove that toy – you cause them harm – you make them literally “uncomfortable”. Before you remove that toy (but please don’t, because you’re an as***le if you do)…. Fix the unmet need. Find another way to give them safety, comfort and whatever else that toy is giving them. Is it allowing them to stim, is it a sensory need, does it remind them of you when you aren’t available, does it soothe in a specific way etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.
The same happens with screens! They meet a need!
I’ve written about this extensively – check out my other blogs/books to help you identify the unmet need…. But here’s a quick list:
• Screens help ND people escape their monotropic brain, or
• help them enter monotropic flow state and do a deep dive into something
• they help us self-regulate when others aren’t available
• they help us co-regulate when we only feel safe with online people
• or co-regulate with an interactive game when no people feel safe
• help us get out all the rage we experienced during the day
• escapism from negative thoughts
• for learning and education
• for working and wage
• learning about NT’s and how to survive in this ableist world
• for stimming, typing or playing games is a great stim for some
• Hobbies and special interest
You need to realise that screens do more than one thing for ND people, they meet multiple needs at the same time. And you have to realise that no matter how many ideas you have for replacing the screen – nothing will often meet the unmet need if you try to remove them. That’s why you never remove a screen from an ND person…. EVER!
Screens are unique in the ND persons life, and in some cases – nothing can or ever would replace it. You need to get on board with that. You don’t need to change the ND person – you need to change your lens and help them to be the best person they can be – WITH screens. You need to go back to basics – with your own brain/ biases and stigmas. You need to learn autistic or ADHD or dyslexia or tourettes, or whatever other ND language, communication or need it is – and learn to love them the way they are.
I learnt to love my parents/ friends/ kids – who have hobbies or interests that I personally dislike or hate – you need to learn to love your ND person with their screen hobby. Don’t limit them – don’t be ‘that’ guy. Work with them, not against them. Collaborate – don’t DICKtate.
BTW: I’m fully aware that society has ‘rules’ – that are there to protect the population. But that population were instrumental in making those ‘rules’ and in a democratic society – (which we all wished we lived in), those rules would be/are collaboratively brought into existence with the say of the people.
In the UK and Australia (and other countries) – we have MP’s who bring the will of the people to government – so we can enter bills and ‘rules’ which are voted on by those MP’s. If those MP’s don’t vote the way the people want – the people vote them out. Unfortunately, all over the world right now, those MP’s have been doing the wrong things and have been serving their own self interests and racist/ableist agendas – which has caused an imbalance in power and a leaning towards dictatorship again.
This happens every so often in society – and it leads to war…. Just as it does in classrooms and in our own homes. Balance the power back to all members involved – and the war stops. Try it out and see…. Learn from history and don’t repeat it.
A war with your child over their screen isn’t worth it, it won’t solve anything, or teach them anything positive. Instead collaborate with them, I bet you’ll be the one learning something.
