📚✨ Book Week brought plenty of creativity, colour and fun as staff and students embraced the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book characters!

Events like these are about more than costumes. They help strengthen positive relationships between staff, create a sense of connection and belonging, and inspire a lifelong love of reading in our students. Thank you to our amazing English department for organising this and for everyone who got involved and helped bring books to life! 📖❤️

Yesterday members of our school Senior Leadership team spent a full day learning with Adam Voigt and Candice, our expert facilitator from Real Schools, because we believe continuous professional learning helps us create the best experience for your child. Days like this support our staff with new approaches to building relationships and managing behaviour restoratively. Our leaders are always learning new ways to support your child's growth and well-being. It’s all about giving them the best school experience possible.

🍃 Kaya! Welcome to Djilba 🍃

Djilba is the Noongar season of conception and renewal, marking the transition between winter and spring. As the weather begins to warm and native plants start to flower, Djilba reminds us of the importance of growth, new beginnings and our connection to Country.

At Wanneroo Secondary College, we acknowledge and celebrate the rich knowledge of the Noongar people and their deep understanding of the changing seasons. As you walk through our school and community pay attention to the changes in flora and fauna that tell us the warmer weather is finally on its way! ☀️🐝🌳
