Classes 7.2 and 7.7 took a trip to Perth's Parliament, where they got to see the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council in action and practice voting in an election at the Electoral Education Centre. They then ended the day with an ice cream at King's Park.

🖤💛❤️ National Reconciliation Week
This week, we come together to learn, respect and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
This year’s theme, “All In,” reminds us that everyone can play a part in building a more respectful and inclusive future.
Let’s listen, learn and stand together — not just this week, but every day.

Today we recognise National Sorry Day (26 May).
A day to acknowledge the Stolen Generations — Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families — and to honour the strength and resilience of survivors.
We reflect on the past, listen to stories of truth, and commit to walking together towards healing and reconciliation.

Our students and staff were so lucky to host this presentation with Neale Daniher and his family last year. He was a true inspiration!

Brighten your day by wearing bright socks on Wednesday 27 May.
We can’t control everything happening in the outside world, but we can take control of what happens on the inside. By wearing bright socks, we make a stand to look out for ourselves and each other, start conversations and support mental health and wellbeing.
Join us by wearing your brightest, boldest, or most mismatched socks on Wednesday 27th May and help brighten the school, one sock at a time. A gold coin donation will be collected during homeroom to support 'Headspace' Youth Services. "
Regards
Wanneroo Secondary College Student Council.

Happy P&C Day! 🎉
Today we would like to recognise and thank the amazing WSC P&C for the incredible work they do to support our school community.
Did you know our WSC P&C proudly runs the school canteen? From early mornings preparing lunches to ensuring students have access to fresh meals and snacks each day, their hard work and dedication help keep our school running smoothly.
The canteen is more than just food — it’s a place that supports our students, staff, and school community every single day. We are so grateful for the time, effort, and care our P&C volunteers and staff contribute behind the scenes.
Thank you for everything you do for WSC!
