🌾 Meet our final Paddock to Podium panellist – Jack Hogan! 👏

Some people spend years wondering if they should take the leap…

Jack’s philosophy? “Have a crack.” 💪

Working as an Agronomist with Nutrien Ag Solutions while also running his own farming operation at Bethungra, Jack lives both sides of agriculture every single day. He helps producers make decisions in the paddock, then heads home to make those same decisions on his own farm.

Having purchased his own property, Jack knows that building a career in agriculture doesn’t happen by sitting on the sidelines…it comes from backing yourself, taking opportunities when they arise and, sometimes, simply having a crack 💥

Whether you’re studying agriculture, just starting out, or already farming yourself, Jack’s story is a reminder that there isn’t one pathway to success. Sometimes the biggest opportunities begin by saying yes, stepping outside your comfort zone and giving it a go.

🌱 Join Jack, along with our other incredible panellists, as they share the highs, the challenges and the lessons they’ve learnt along the way.

🎟️ Still don’t have plans this Friday? Take Jack’s advice… have a crack! Grab your ticket and join us for an evening of great conversations, team trivia, good food at Romano’s and plenty of laughs.

🤠 Meet our next Paddock to Podium panelist – Tyla Comerford!

If there's one thing we've learnt about Tyla... she doesn't seem to know how to say "no" to an opportunity! 😅

From growing up on a mixed farming property near Dubbo to working as a station hand in the Pilbara, travelling through Canada, the USA, Argentina, China and Vietnam, and building a career across livestock, genetics, seedstock and agribusiness—it's safe to say Tyla has never been one to stand still. 🌏

Today, Tyla is the Central Sales Representative for StockLive, working alongside producers, seedstock operations and industry organisations to connect buyers and sellers through innovative livestock marketing and technology.

Most recently, she's been selected for the GenAngus Program and as one of Cattle Australia's National Beef Leaders for 2026—proving that saying "yes" to opportunities can take you a long way.

Whether you're passionate about livestock, genetics, marketing, agribusiness or simply wondering where an ag career could take you, Tyla's story is packed with experiences, practical insights and plenty of inspiration.

🐂 Come along, ask questions and hear how backing yourself and occasionally being unable to say “no”, can lead to opportunities you never expected.

🎟️So….if you still don’t have plans for Friday night, take a left out of Tyla’s book - Say “yes” to the opportunity, grab a mate, a beer and secure your tickets here: ; https://www.eventbrite.com/e/paddock-to-podium-tickets-1992734593813?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=wsa&aff=ebdsshwebmobile

👀Look out for the reveal of our last and final panelist coming soon…

03/07/2026

🍻 Alright… introducing panelist number two —
We’re excited to welcome Andrew Dowd to our Paddock to Podium: Young Successors Journey panel 👏

Now… while Andrew might have slightly more life experience than some of our young successors joining us on the night (we’re politely calling it wisdom 😅), one thing is certain — if there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about building success in regional Australia, it’s him.

Andrew has spent years working across agriculture, business development, leadership coaching and rural enterprise, helping producers and businesses think differently about how they manage their farms, people and long-term profitability 🌾📈

As an advisor with RCS Australia, Andrew works with one of Australia’s leading farm business consulting groups, helping producers improve decision making, business management, grazing systems, financial performance and long-term sustainability. In short… helping farmers work on the business, not just in it 🚜

Over the years he’s worked alongside thousands of producers across Australia, mentoring business owners, developing leaders and helping rural communities build stronger, more profitable futures — proving that good farming isn’t just about production… it’s about people too 🤝

And because apparently one career wasn’t enough… Andrew has also taken on what might be one of the more relatable side hustles going around — publican at the Lightning Ridge Pub 🍺

So naturally, with Romano's Hotel hosting us for the evening, we figured who better to join the panel than a bloke who literally understands both farm business strategy AND running a pub. Honestly… feels like fate.

Whether you’re interested in agriculture, leadership, business, rural careers, succession planning or just keen to hear from someone who’s seen a fair bit and has the stories to prove it, Andrew’s session promises plenty of laughs… and a whole lot of wisdom along the way ⭐️

🎟️Grab your tickets here; https://www.eventbrite.com/e/paddock-to-podium-tickets-1992734593813?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=wsa&aff=ebdsshwebmobile for a night of education and shared drinks 🍻
