As part of their training in CPCCCA3028 – Erect and Dismantle Formwork for Footings and Slabs on Ground, our students recently participated in an industry site visit to enhance their understanding of formwork practices in a live construction environment.
The visit provided valuable exposure to industry-standard formwork systems, footing and slab preparation, reinforcement placement, site safety requirements, and construction sequencing. Observing these processes firsthand enabled students to strengthen their theoretical knowledge while gaining practical insights into current industry practices and workplace expectations.
Experiential learning opportunities such as site visits play a vital role in developing job-ready skills, reinforcing safe work practices, and preparing students for successful careers in the construction industry.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our industry partners and site personnel for their time, support, and commitment to the development of the next generation of construction professionals.
