Always an honour to celebrate the success of so many amazing educators. As a Life Member of the Teachers Guild of NSW, acknowledging the work of my peers is absolutely crucial particularly when the demands expected from teachers (from all school stakeholders) are at its highest, resulting in so many teachers leaving the profession. Thank you to every teacher, teachers aide, support staff for being there for our children!

The Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales is proud to announce that our 2025 World Teachers Celebration and Awards will be held on Friday 31 October 2025 at The William Inglis Hotel, Warwick Farm.

This prestigious annual event recognises and celebrates the outstanding dedication, innovation, and impact of educators across all sectors of education in NSW.

In a rapidly changing world, teachers continue to play a vital role in shaping minds, values, and futures. The Guild’s Awards honour those who go above and beyond—teachers and leaders who inspire, engage, and make a profound difference in the lives of their students and school communities.

This year’s celebration will see 211 remarkable educators recognised across the different sectors and stages of education.
We are also honoured to present the 2025 Phyllis Evans Medal to Ms Iris Nastasi (BA, DipHE, MEd), Principal of Rosebank College, for her exceptional contribution to improving educational outcomes for young people.

“These awards provide a public platform to acknowledge and thank educators who embody excellence in teaching,” said Dr Frederick Osman, President of the Teachers’ Guild of NSW. “They are shaping an informed, cohesive, and compassionate society through their tireless commitment to student growth, wellbeing, and learning.”
