Today we celebrate an incredible milestone - 20 years with RR+R for Wyn! 👏🏻

If you've ever worked alongside him or been a student on one of his courses, you'll know Wynski is much more than a trainer. He is highly respected for his incredible knowledge of safety and his passion for emergency response.

Whether he's sharing his knowledge, lending a hand or telling a story - he has a positive impact on anyone he crosses paths with and gives everyone a good laugh!

After 20 years of dedication, mentorship and memories - RR+R wouldn't be what is today without him. A true professional, great mate and absolute legend. Congratulations mate 🍻

CONTENT WARNING Simulated injuries and medical scenarios featured throughout this video.

Training for medical emergencies requires more than theory - it requires realistic, hands-on experience in dynamic and challenging environments.

This short recap captures some of the practical scenarios undertaken during our recent HLT21020 Certificate II in Medical Service First Response program.

Through casualty simulations, realistic moulage, and scenario-based exercises, participants are challenged to assess, treat, and manage patients under pressure - helping build the confidence, critical thinking, and practical skills needed to respond when it matters most.

A special thank you to .artistry for helping bring our scenarios to life and adding another layer of realism to the training experience.

You'll also hear from members of our team and participants from the program as they share their insights, experiences, and reflections on the value of the training.

No matter how much experience you gain, there's always value in returning to the fundamentals.

A few moments from a recent program at our Port Kembla training hub.

Captured by one of our trainers, Brett, during a dust storm on site in Mildura while running our Cert III Mines Rescue program.

An unreal moment to capture - big thanks to Brett for sending this one through.

Take a look at a few snapshots from another core fire block of training held at our Port Kembla training facility last week.

We had a great group of motivated learners who brought plenty of their own experience and knowledge to the week, making for a strong learning environment for everyone involved. 💪🔥

This block of training forms part of the PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).

Happy International Women’s Day from Risk Response + Rescue.

Today we recognise and celebrate the incredible women who are part of the RR+R, and wider emergency response community.

From our trainers delivering practical, real-world training, to personnel working on sites across Australia, the learners building their skills, and the support centre team keeping everything moving - women are an essential part of what makes RR+R such a great team of people to be part of.

RR+R wouldn’t be what it is without you, thank you.

Effective training needs real pressure. Because in a life-threatening bleed, there’s no pause button.

We’ve recently added new Emergency Tourniquet & Haemorrhage Clotting Trainers to our medical kit, allowing us to simulate realistic bleeding scenarios to teach life-saving techniques in a safe, controlled environment for high-impact training.

Seeing blood flow, applying a tourniquet correctly, and assessing effectiveness under pressure builds real confidence and real capability.

Thanks to the team at TraumaSim for producing quality simulation gear that helps raise the standard 👊

There’s something special about stepping out of the day‑to‑day and getting back in a room together.

Our RR+R Professional Development Day gave us the chance to reconnect face‑to‑face, learn from each other, and share knowledge across disciplines, from gas detection with Nick, to advanced medical training with Hari, and hands‑on time with equipment alongside Skylotec and Petzl.

Busy schedules, different locations, but when we come together like this, it strengthens how we work and reminds you why this team is something special.

Shared knowledge. Stronger capability. Better outcomes, together.

Real training isn't scripted.

It's problem-solving, communication, and doing the work under pressure.

What's a training scenario that has challenged you the most?

A few highlights from our courses throughout 2025!

As we wrap up the year, we just want to say a huge thank you to our trainers, training coordinators, students, clients, and everyone who’s been part of the journey this year - your effort, trust, and commitment to quality training makes what we do meaningful.

Our office is closed from today, and will re-open on Monday 5 January.

Wishing everyone a safe, relaxing holiday period spent with your loved ones - we can’t wait to see what 2026 brings 💪⛑
