This is how the truth survived in Bosnia. 🇧🇦
For the boys, this was more than learning about Bosnia’s history. It was hearing the stories firsthand, learning how people fought to preserve what mattered, and understanding why these stories still carry so much weight today.
A powerful experience for the boys, and one they won’t forget. 🤲

Later is promised to who?
Most of us live like death is a rumour. So we delay tawbah, delay discipline, delay becoming the person Allah is calling us to be. There’s always a later.
Then you stand at a janazah for someone younger than you. Same plans. And you realise nobody at the grave is praised for their potential. They’re remembered for what they sent ahead.
The Prophet ﷺ told us to remember death often. Not to make us gloomy. To make us honest. Because the moment death feels real, the grudges feel childish. The sins feel heavy. The prayers feel urgent.
That’s not extreme. That’s sincerity. When you know the end is coming, you stop playing games with the middle.
Remembering Bosnia 🇧🇦
Standing among the graves, the boys reflected on the lives behind the names and the history that brought them there. 💭
Speaking with locals and hearing their stories brought another perspective, sometimes remembering and listening is one of the most meaningful things you can do. 🤝
A powerful moment from the MENdatory journey, and one that stayed with the boys long after they left. 💪

We spend so much of our life chasing outcomes as if they belong to us.
The job we finally land, the healing that finally comes, we quietly take the credit. And when it doesn’t come, we carry it like a personal failure.
But Allah SWT settled this a long time ago. وَمَا تَوْفِيقِي إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ, my success is only through Allah.
The moment that verse stops being something you know and starts being something you actually feel, something shifts. You stop measuring your worth by what worked and what didn’t. You start doing your part with sincerity, and you leave the rest where it belongs.
The faster you understand where your success actually comes from, the more content you become. What are you still trying to take credit for?
Most people think confidence means having the strongest opinion or the fastest response. They mistake being heard for being grounded. But that idea collapses the moment you look closely.
Loudness often comes from insecurity, not strength. The need to constantly interrupt, or assert usually comes from discomfort with silence. When someone cannot sit quietly, they often try to fill the space with noise instead of presence.
The Prophet ﷺ was calm, measured and intentional. His presence carried authority before he ever spoke, because self control always comes before leadership.
So ask yourself honestly. Do people listen because you are loud, or because you are steady? Do your words carry weight, or just volume?
The boys reflect on their time in Lombok 🇮🇩
Only three days in, and the boys had already experienced more than they expected. From exploring the culture and traditions of Lombok to visiting a disability centre and spending time with the children. 🚀
What stood out most was the gratitude. The boys reflected on how much they were able to experience in such a short time, recognising the barakah in their days and the blessings Allah has given them. 🤲

Four months and the man in the mirror sounds different than the man you started with.

The MENdatory Log Challenge 🌴
One simple challenge: carry the stump across the beach without letting it touch the ground and every person has to keep two hands on it. 💪
The boys had to work together, communicate and figure it out as they made their way across the beach in Lombok. There was plenty of struggling along the way, but that’s part of the challenge. 🚀
And just when you think the video is over… 👀😂

Most young men think chasing girls is harmless. They see it as excitement or something “everyone else is doing.” But the truth is: chasing girls doesn’t fill the emptiness, it hides it. And the more you chase, the more you lose sight of who you’re meant to become.
When you chase girls, you run from the work you actually need to do: the work on your character, your self-control, your purpose, your identity.
You chase a feeling instead of building a foundation. You look for validation before building value. You want the ending before you’ve earned the beginning.
So ask yourself honestly: who are you becoming through this habit? And what would your life look like if you redirected that energy into becoming a stronger, wiser, more grounded Muslim man?
The Spirituality of Business Retreat brought brothers together for a weekend of powerful conversations, practical workshops and genuine brotherhood.🚀
From exploring the purpose behind our work to learning how our dunya can become a means of building for the akhirah, the brothers were challenged to rethink what it means to work and succeed as Muslims. 💪
Alhamdulillah, the conversations were thought-provoking, the workshops were practical, and the brotherhood was incredible. 🤝
