Empowering children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education. At Life Ed.

we give kids the skills and self- confidence to make safe and healthy choices.

03/06/2026

The earlier children begin to learn about complex
issues, the more opportunities they will get to practice
making positive choices.

This is the key to health prevention. In
underserved, remote and regional communities, this
can change and save young lives.

We need your help to ensure every child thrives, no
matter their postcode.

This week we farewelled someone who didn't just lead Life Ed SA she transformed it. 🦒

Ten years ago, Gildi walked into a office (that she describes as genuinely haunted 👻), with no laptop, no phone, and an A4 piece of paper as a sign. She's leaving us at Harold's Headquarters in Forestville, with a team she built from the ground up, a program on the government's approved provider list, and more than 40,000 South Australian students reached every single year.

But it's not the numbers that define Gildi. It's the culture. It's the way she backs her people. The way she walks into every conversation with grace. 🚗✨ It's the fact that she'd climb into the Harold suit if that's what it took. Gildi, you didn't just build an organisation. You built a family.

And we will carry every bit of what you've poured into us. This isn't farewell. The door at Harold's Headquarters is always open for you. 💙🦒

To our CEO, our mentor, our second Mum, thank you.

Every child we reach from here is your legacy, still growing.

This National Reconciliation Week, Life Ed SA proudly stood All In.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands across South Australia where we learn, teach and grow and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Reconciliation isn't a week. It's a commitment we carry into every classroom, every conversation, and every child we reach. We're honoured to walk this journey alongside communities across SA.

One of the biggest challenges schools face isn’t just va**ng itself — it’s the perception among students that “everyone is doing it”.

Life Ed SA’s Reality Now program helps secondary students separate perception from reality through an evidence-based social norms approach that builds confidence, critical thinking and safer decision-making.

Using real-time anonymous student survey data, students explore the actual attitudes and behaviours of their peers — helping reduce pressure to fit in and empowering healthier choices around va**ng, alcohol and other drugs.

Delivered by specialist educators, Reality Now gives schools a practical, curriculum-aligned way to support student wellbeing and navigate these important conversations with confidence.

📅 Bookings are now open.

Talking about body autonomy with young children can feel like a big responsibility, but educators don’t have to navigate it alone. 🦒💛

Life Ed’s Harold’s Body Boundaries module helps children aged 3–5 build early understanding of personal space, consent and trusted adults through safe, engaging and play-based learning.

Delivered by specialist educators experienced in working with young children on sensitive topics, the session supports centres to introduce these important concepts with confidence and care.

Through storytelling, games and interactive activities, children begin building lifelong skills that help them feel safe, confident and supported.

📅 Bookings for Terms 2 and 3 are now open.
