✔️ 1 Scoop Protein Powder (I used Vanilla Buttercream Almond Protein)
✔️ 1 Cup Self Raising Flour

🐶🙋🏽‍♀️ Hi Fam Just a little reminder to be kind to yourself this weekend and to take some time out for YOU.

Yes we may have freedom again and that’s amazing. But it’s also been a bit of a shock to the system. For those of us in Sydney We were in lock down for almost 4 months, going at a slower pace, in hibernation, minimal social contact, while under stressors of some nature. We’re now back in the real world, life’s more hectic again, seeing more people, going out and socialising and just exerting more energy etc. so if you’re feel exhausted or run down or just a bit flatter than usual that’s totally ok.

Just remember we’re not under normal circumstances and the constant change of environment and having to adapt can take its toll on our physical and mental health.

So be kind to yourself and look after number 1. Take a bath, order your fave food and chill on the couch, go to the beach, just take some time out to yourself. What ever self care looks like to you, do it and I bet you’ll be smiling like this little pup 😍

What are 3 things you’re grateful for? Sometimes writing your gratitude down can can help but for me I find the best way fo feel gratitude is by sitting in stillness, closing my eyes and really visualising what I’m greatful for and feeling it in my body and my heart. Everyone feels things differently so do what works best for you 💗💫

Unsure why you’re not feeling motivated? 🤔🤯

Well pointing out the obvious first, we are going through a pandemic right now and we’re suffering from pandemic fatigue so this is definitely impacting our motivation.

Another reason why we can feel stuck, unmotivated is because we’re not living our life through our highest values, we’re not living through our authentic self.

I get asked all the time how am I always so motivated? And I’m definitely not always motivated but this is what I do whenever I’m lacking motivation. I do this exact exercise and I also do this with my clients and that’s honestly how I’m able to motivate myself and my clients

1️⃣ Determine your highest priority top 3 Values: values that your life actually demonstrates (Not what you would like them to be or wish they would be. If your life isn’t demonstrating your top values then change it so it is)

eg. If a Top value is Spending time with Fam and your life isn’t showing that you are actually spending time with your fam. Schedule in more time with them

2️⃣ What are your Goals? (Be specific AF - Personal, Fitness, Work/Business, Financial)

3️⃣ Align your TOP Values with your goals: this will give you intrinsic motivation and you’ll become UNSTOPPABLE.

To get past it you’ve got to go through it especially when it comes to failure. You need to feel the pain, grief is a good thing.

Grief is the way we get through the failure and how we learn the lessons. But a lot of the time we bury our emotions deep inside to get to the next step. Think of it like what would happen to a can of coke if you shook it up and put in the freezer? It’s going to explode eventually. It’s going to come out sideways. This is what happens in life when you don’t deal with your emotions properly. You don’t minimise it, You don’t rush to feel better, to get past your failure you need to go through it.

I’ve learnt a lot about myself and dealing with my emotions over the years. What I’ve come to accept and realise is not to be ashamed of my emotions and it’s ok to have an emotional day or 10 😅 we are all on our own journey, have our own s**t to deal with and live with emotions and baggage from the past. I’m a culprit of trying to bury my emotions deep inside and trying to jump to the next step so I can feel better faster but this is only a bandaid fix and the emotions come out in all kinds of ways later and can cause all kinds of damage.

If you think you’re not handling your emotions well especially as we’re in Lock Down, I couldn’t recommend highly enough to speak to a therapist (try before you buy), surround yourself with quality people, practice mindfulness & gratitude daily, stay active, listen to motivational and self development podcasts and work on yourself every single day so you can become more self aware and live your best possible life. Lastly 👉🏽 Self care. Self care. Self Care 🔑
