Many people are interested to know what the difference are between a SRS and a Residential Aged Care facility. SRS are not funded by the Federal government. They are regulated by the state Department of Health and Human Services. The security deposit and move-in fees of a SRS is much lower than a Residential Aged Care and accommodation fees can work out to be cheaper for some (e.g. self-funded retiree).
