πŸŒŽπŸ”Ž ENDING DIVERSITY WEEK WITH A SCAVENGER HUNT! πŸ”ŽπŸŒŽ
We wrapped up Diversity Week with a flag scavenger hunt around the school! 🚩
Students were on the hunt, tracking down flags from countries across the world and putting their knowledge to the test.
A huge thank you once again to Mr Taylor and our fantastic SRC for all the work that went into organising the activities throughout the week and making Diversity Week such a wonderful celebration of our school community. πŸŒπŸ’š

πŸ’› R U OK? DAY 2026 πŸ’›
Today is R U OK? Day, a reminder that a simple conversation can make a real difference.
It’s about looking out for one another, trusting your instincts when someone doesn’t seem themselves, and taking the time to genuinely ask, β€œR U OK?”
Remember the four steps:
πŸ’› Ask R U OK?
πŸ‘‚ Listen
🀝 Encourage action
πŸ”„ Check in
And most importantly, we don’t need to wait for R U OK? Day to check in. Every day is a good day to ask the question.
Let’s continue to look out for our friends, classmates, colleagues and the wider Gladdy community. πŸ’šπŸ’›
If you or someone you know needs support, please reach out to a trusted adult or support service, including Lifeline 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636.

Each week, we celebrate the creative talents of our students across the College in Art, Design, Media, and Photography – the heART BEAT of the school.
This week, we’re celebrating Ella Nazligul from Year 8 Art and her fantastic lino print of a moth.
Ella has created an incredible level of detail, using delicate shapes and fine lines to build up the patterns and textures across the wings. These intricate details are particularly impressive in lino printing, where every line and mark needs to be carefully carved into the lino block. Once it’s cut, there’s no going back!
But there’s also a thoughtful idea behind Ella’s choice of subject. Ella explained that while people often admire butterflies, moths can be overlooked or even disliked, despite how similar they can be in appearance. She wanted people to look a little closer and recognise the beauty in something they might normally dismiss. πŸ¦‹
A beautiful concept matched with some seriously impressive craftsmanship.
Such awesome work, Ella, in one of our favourite Art tasks! πŸ’šπŸŽ¨
