St Mary MacKillop College Canberra

Welcome to MacKillop, Canberra’s largest secondary school. We're a Catholic, co-ed school for Years 7-12 in the Tuggeranong Valley.

St Mary MacKillop College Canberra, formerly known as MacKillop Catholic College, is a co-educational school for Years 7 - 12 students located in the Tuggeranong Valley. The College operates under the governance of the Catholic Education Office of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. There are two campuses approximately five kilometres apart. Students in Years 7 - 9 are based on the Wanniassa

Campus while students in Years 10 - 12 are based on the Isabella Campus. The College motto is "Faith and Courage" which reflects and honours Saint Mary MacKillop after whom the College is named. The College is open to all families who are willing to support the Catholic ethos and the educational, behavioural and uniform requirements of the College.

Our Year 11, 2027 Open Night and Careers Expo will take place on Wednesday 20 May! The two events will run together at our St Peter's Campus, from 4-7pm. Come along to learn about career/study options and to look at the senior courses and opportunities at MacKillop!

Our Year 12 students are taking part in the Relay for Life on Saturday! They've set an ambitious fundraising target of $80,000 and they are currently around three quarters of the way there!

Catholic Education have announced that Jacqueline Heffernan will be MacKillop's new College Principal from the beginning of the 2026 school year.

Jacqueline, who is currently Principal of Carroll College, Broulee, has over 28 years of educational experience within the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn.
