CCASE was proud to work with our HPG & STEM Accelerated students who joined the H2Know Water Event at the University of Newcastle, Ourimbah campus, proudly supported by Central Coast Council.

Students explored the science and innovation behind one of our most precious resources — water — through five dynamic, real-world STEM experiences:
💧 Building a Water Reservoir & Pipeline with Central Coast Council Water & Sewer
🐞 Investigating the Biodiversity Garden & Water Bugs with Central Coast Council
🔬 Diving into Environmental Science with Central Coast Academy of STEM Excellence and Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre
🚁 Taking to the skies with Drone Piloting & VR Engineering thanks to GHD Engineering
🧪 Testing Water Quality Monitoring Skills with the University of Newcastle

This collaborative event allowed students to apply critical and creative thinking, engage directly with industry experts, and explore exciting career pathways in sustainability, engineering, and environmental science.

EDUtech Australia was fantastic this year with some amazing guest speakers and amazing resources for teachers and students. Central Coast Academy of STEM Excellence went along with teachers from the Central Coast to explore all the amazing new teaching resources.

HPGE day at Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre was a huge hit! CCASE ran a crime scene investigation for students solving 'the case of the stolen solar pannels'. Student's from stage 2 analysed clues, measured power usage and used STEM skills to solve the mystery.
