National Science Week started today! This year’s theme is ‘Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all’. Curious students can be involved in extra fun science activities at lunch time every day this week.

Our year two class made a tree of growing brains on parade to demonstrate our PCL focus today!

We have a burst water pipe at school this morning. Please ensure that students bring their own water to school today. (Hopefully the job is not too big!) 💦Simmo is already here and trying to fix it for us!

For 26 years our school has been affiliated with Peer Support Australia.

It is not just fundamental to our student wellbeing, but it is also the foundation of our Positive Culture for Learning. Our Peer Support program ensures that our students develop great relationships across the school and in the wider community.

This year, our year 6 leaders have hit the ground running, leading our NAIDOC activities, our National Tree Planting activities and our Bullying. No Way: National week of action activities.

The impact that this program has across this school is immense and far-reaching!

What a great day of competition at the inter school athletics carnival at the Townsville Sports Reserve today. Our whole team tried their best and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and behaviour throughout the day.

Thanks to Mrs Jackson and Mrs Duxbury for taking the team and to all the parents and carers for supporting all of our students.

Almost 17,000km apart, Cara and Bre Koenen will both be pulling on the green and gold this weekend - Cara for the Australian Diamonds, and Bre in the AFL Women’s 🫶 what a moment!

What a fabulous night! Movie under the stars with great food, great company and great fun! Thank you to our P&C, to our wonderful parent volunteers and to our school staff for such a great family fundraiser!
