We were thrilled to be invited to host a workshop for the Ingham Theatre Group recently. Last weekend, Ensemble Member and Teaching Artist, Arminelle Fleming presented a workshop on bringing text to life. Thank you Ingham Theatre Group for a wonderful day!

Arminelle, Gus, former AwA students and trainers, were all involved in this very warm-hearted, love letter to theatre - "Shakespeare in Love" produced by Theatre iNQ.

It was such a joy to be involved with this production and we were thrilled to see so many students and parents of AwA in the audience.

Congratulations to the entire team behind SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE. Thank you to each and every member of this wonderful team for your talent, your commitment and your respect for what we do. Missing from this photo is the incomparable Kathy Brabon who once again, outdid herself with the costuming.

Thank you to Emily Molloy and the Townsville City Council for inviting us to be part of your Civic Theatre Season 2026. This was a play that celebrated a life devoted to the Arts even when its value is questioned and diminished. Thank you to our audiences for proving its value and showing us all how much it matters to you that we do what we do. It means more than you can ever imagine. x

INTRODUCING THE BRIDGE PROJECT 2026.
And introducing the final new member of the Company for this year.

We warmly welcome Mackenzie Hinnrichs to begin her training with the Company this year. Another long time student at Acting with Arminelle, Mackenzie has been performing locally from a very young age including featured roles in Catherine McKernan Doris' "Wake" Series in "Enough to Wake the Dead" and "The Moon's Awake" last year - both for the Townsville Little Theatre.

"I cannot imagine myself in a career that does not involve creativity, so The Bridge Project is a perfect opportunity to start my future. I want to gain resilience, discipline, self confidence, and of course theatrical skills." - Mackenzie Hinnrichs.

Congratulations to Props Youth Theatre and their production of the Mad Hatters Tea Party. I very much enjoyed the show and loved catching up with the other AwA peeps there, including Piper, one the Mad Hatters!
