Congratulations to Ben who was selected as part of the NQ Team for athletics yesterday. Ben will compete at the Queensland Championships for 10 years 100m, 200m, High Jump and Long Jump. We wish Ben all the very best! 🙌🤩

Our hall was alive this morning with colour, excitement and a Symphony of Story book characters for our annual Book Week Parade. Special thanks to Miss Penny and Miss Kerry for the behind the scenes planning and organisation, and to all parents for helping provide the most amazing costumes. As always, it was a lot of fun. 💙💛

It's Book Week next week and we will be celebrating with our annual Book Week Parade on Tuesday. It's always so much fun. We can't wait! 😀🤗🙌

On Friday night St Joseph's North Ward, hosted the Homeless Sleepover in their Hall. We spent the evening speaking with some representatives from St Vincent De Paul, who explained what homelessness is like, how the organisation helps and how we can make a difference. The students participated in some activites to learn more about homelessness and packed some dignity packs ( with our generous donations) for the homeless. We had chicken soup for supper and spent the night sleeping on cardboard boxes. The students enjoyed the experience, particulary gaining a better understanding and empathy for the homeless. Thanks to St Joey's for hosting and all the adults who helped on the evening ( Mrs Hawke and Miss Penny!).

Over the past couple of weeks our Year 1 students have been participating in Fire Education. This is always a great source of excitement for Year 1s. Thank you to the representatives from the Queensland Fire Service who came along to teach our students. 🔥🚒👨🏽‍🚒
