A little peek inside Mrs H’s world… ✨
My office is definitely more than a place to work.
It’s where ideas are scribbled, books are explored, resources are created, presentations come to life and a LOT of teaching conversations happen!
Every corner tells a little story about the things I love most about this business — books, learning, teachers, creativity and sharing ideas that make a difference in classrooms.
So, I thought I’d take you behind the scenes and give you a little peek into the world behind everything I do. 🫶
Because this is where so many of the ideas, conversations and resources you see from me begin.
And yes… there is ALWAYS a book (or twenty!) within reach! 📚
Which part of my office would you want to have a closer peek at?

The class walks back in after lunch like a cyclone? 🌪️
Here’s a 10-minute idea that helps settle busy minds AND gets them thinking.
Revisit a page from a familiar and fabulous non-fiction book, just like Jess’s intriguing book.
Then pose a Would You Rather…? scenario.
đź’ Think
👯 Turn and talk
🗣️ Tell us your preferred option and, most importantly, why!
A quick way to settle busy minds, get everyone talking and sneak in some fabulous thinking too.
Because sometimes you don’t need to stop the energy before you start the thinking. You just need to give it somewhere to go.
Save this one for your next post-lunch cyclone! 📚✨

Apparently, it’s kinda chic to love picture books… and I’m here for it. đź¤đź“š
Picture books help us build vocabulary, spark curiosity, encourage deep thinking and create learning that sticks.
They’re not just for story time.
They’re for every classroom.
And if your desk is overflowing with picture books, don’t worry.
That’s not clutter.
That’s lesson planning. 💛
Which slide is the most you? Drop a comment and tell me your favourite đź’›
