St Mary's College Toowoomba is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition for boys in Years 5 to 12. At St Mary’s College it is our mission to empower students to be men of faith, integrity, action, and excellence. We provide boys the opportunity to achieve excellence in all areas of their holistic education guided by our four touchstones: gospel spirituality, inclusive community, justice and

solidarity, and liberating education. At St Mary’s College, we focus on and are specialists in boys’ education, providing various relevant and modern learning experiences, as well as extra-curricular activities. Established in Toowoomba in 1899, St Mary’s College has played an integral part in educating young men in regional Queensland for 125 years.

Tyler's achievement reflects the value of hard work, perseverance and making the most of opportunities beyond the classroom.

We are incredibly proud of these young men and look forward to seeing all they achieve in the years ahead.

Congratulations to Year 10 student Jacob on his appointment as a Toowoomba Regional Youth Leader!

This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to Jacob's passion for making a positive difference in his community. Throughout the application process, Jacob was supported by many staff members across the College.

As a Regional Youth Leader, Jacob will advocate for young people, represent youth voices within the community, work alongside Council and community development officers, and help drive initiatives that create meaningful change across the region.

We are incredibly proud of Jacob and look forward to seeing the impact he will make in this important leadership role. 👏

Students from Years 5 to 12 represented the College at the Queensland Catholic Music Festival at Villanova College, with six ensembles taking to the stage.

We're proud to share that every ensemble received a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award from the adjudicators, recognising the boys' hard work, talent, and dedication.

A special thank you to the more than 20 families who travelled to Brisbane to support the students throughout the festival.

St Mary's College, through opportunities connected to our Spanish program, has enabled several students to secure their first employment positions with Guzman y Gomez.

This partnership is providing far more than a job. Students are developing confidence, professionalism, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They are also learning valuable life skills such as time management, communicating with customers, and taking responsibility in the workplace.

At the same time, our students gain authentic exposure to Mexican culture and cuisine, bringing classroom learning to life and demonstrating the many opportunities that Spanish language learning can create.
