We did it! And what an amazing day it was. ๐๐
Our 175th celebration couldn't have happened without the hard work, generosity and support of so many people, and we want to take a moment to thank every volunteer, helper and family who played a part.
We had so many families go above and beyond to bake, volunteer, man stalls, lend a hand and support our celebration in every way. We are incredibly grateful for everything you did to help make the day such a success.
There are also a special few who poured hours and hours (and hours!) of effort into making our celebration what it was, and we would love to give them a special mention.
To Lisa, Deb, Juanita & Julie โ thank you! You always show up, work so hard, support wherever you are needed, and always do it with a smile. We are so lucky to have you all.
To Cheryl McCurran โ what a superstar you are. So many late nights were spent perfecting the gorgeous history display, and you poured your heart and soul into bringing our schoolโs story to life. The result yesterday was absolutely outstanding. Thank you.
To Stacey Ormsby โ thank you for organising our beautiful art show and the highly coveted Drayton 175th cookbook. Your hard work and dedication helped create some very special keepsakes for our community, and we truly appreciate everything you did.
To Anne-Marie Baker - thank you for all of your effort in organising the bush dance finale. What a fun way to end our celebration. The many lessons paid off - all of the kids had so much fun & did so well!
To Jacqui, our Principal, and Jennene, our Business Manager โ what an effort from you both. To join a school only four weeks out from an event like this was a huge ask, but you jumped straight in, embraced the chaos, and helped make everything run so smoothly. We are so grateful to have had you both as part of our team.
To Biannca, from Bee's Creative Dreams, who went above and beyond to make our merchandise for our event - thank you!
And to all of the little worker bees who made the chaos a little more organised and a whole lot more fun โ Hailey Hennessy, Katie Goodall, Katie Willard, Sophie, Alan, Jim, Mick, Janelle, Kerry, Ben, Dannie, Kirsty, Lisa, Trent, Marc, Nicole, Esmay, Abbey & families (and everyone else who helped along the way) โ thank you! You worked so hard, and we appreciate every minute you gave.
We hope everyone who came along had a wonderful day celebrating our wonderful little school and the incredible history, memories and community that make Drayton so special.
Happy 175th, Drayton! ๐๐
